Quaint, peaceful place.
Neals pond was great, the water was refreshing and clean. The view from the deck was perfect. Loved sitting out there in the mornings with my dog and cup of coffee. It was a bit too close to the neighbors for my liking tho, and very buggy. (They did warn us..lol)I also couldn't access my cell phone unless I drove 10 minutes to "town". (I'm the health care proxy for my mom who is in a nursing home, soo wouldn't be able to stay there again without phone access.) And I'd warn folks that the shower is very small. Very clean but small. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay. 😀
Great little cabin!
We had a great time with our kids for a few days on the pond! The boys loved playing on the dock and paddling around in the canoe and it was close enough for some day trips to the cog railroad and Santa’s village. The cabin had everything we needed and we enjoyed the stay!
We had a wonderful time. The cottage was a perfect location.
If we ever visit this area again I would definitely look to see if this property was available.
We enjoyed ourselves here for a week while checking out the Fall foliage in NH/Vermont. We had WiFi, hot showers and comfortable beds. The only thing we were not happy about was a cold cabin (colder inside the cabin than outside temp) upon arrival and propane running out twice. (The owners did not know how to operate the heater or change the propane tank. The son of the owners was able to). Our last night the propane went out around 10pm and we ended up leaving very early in the morning as it was too cold to stay in the cabin. The temps at night were in the 30’s! Overall a great place to stay but just felt like the place was not prepared for us.
Exactly what we needed
This was our 2nd visit and was awesome again!
Cozy cabin on the lake
What a perfect spot! We had a wonderful week on Neals Pond, swimming, fishing, kayaking and just chilling. The cabin itself is well provisioned and comfortable, and just the right size for our family of 4. There are a number of other properties on Neals Pond so it wasn't quite as quiet as we had expected, and the Pond itself got quite busy in the later afternoon. However, we enjoyed people-watching from our porch, and our two girls made friends with the family next door, so it worked well for us. This was also the perfect spot from which to discover the White Mountains, and we had a wonderful time exploring beautiful Franconia Notch State Park, about 45 minutes away. The owners were very responsive and did everything they could to make our stay as enjoyable as possible, including loaning us 2 kayaks for the duration of our stay. All in all, a wonderful family holiday in a beautiful location. Thank you!
