About this property

FABULOUS Lakefront Property on Rocky Point! Classic cabin with every amenity!

Walk out the front door onto your private deck overlooking beautiful Indian Bay on Flathead Lake. Stroll across a manicured grassy lawn to your private beach and dock and have a seat on your patio. Enjoy a game of bocce or volleyball on that nice big lawn later. In the evening build a fire in the firepit and roast some s'mores. Tomorrow you could go hiking in Glacier Park, only 1.5 hours away. That is, unless the lake is really smooth, in which case you may take a boat tour of some of Flathead Lake's miles (30 miles long-10-15 wide), then have a picnic on Wildhorse Island, just across the bay.

When it's time for bed, take your choice. The master suite has a king bed, views of the lake and a large bathroom with walk-in closet. The guest room is cozy with a queen sized bed and fluffy duvets. It adjoins a large bathroom. The upstairs is family or kid heaven. It has a king bed plus 3 twin beds with private bath and room to spread out. Our home sleeps 9 very comfortably.

The kitchen is modern and fully equipped with lots of room for multiple cooks. The granite counter and hickory flooring give it a cabin look with a modern touch. Two seating areas adjoin the kitchen. One faces the lake and the other wraps around a custom stone fireplace. You can dine informally at the large bar or more formally at our antique oak dining table. Then, of course, there's the outside which has numerous seating and dining options.

Park you boat at the dock, pull up a chair and have a fabulous vacation! It's a wonderful retreat in a very special place. Over five generations of our family have made memories here. We all call it home, even when we don't live here. You will too.

(Please keep in mind that the winter season is beautiful as well. Not a more peaceful setting anywhere with the option of snow skiing at Blacktail 1 hour away and Whitefish Mountain resort 1.5 hours.)

This place was amazing, clean, beautiful and spacious! Perfect for what was needed for. Spend Thanksgiving there and was well equipped for cooking a large holiday meal for a family. So grateful to have stayed there only thing is wish there was a better vacuum cleaner. We tried to leave it clean the whole time, dusted, swept, vacuumed, cleaned bathrooms. Thank you so much hope to come back.

This is a wonderful property in a spectacular location. The kids loved being able to swim and paddlrboard off the dock and everyone enjoyed hanging out in the evenings around the fire pit looking out over the lake. In all, it was a very enjoyable and memorable vacation.

We were blessed to spend a week at this beautiful property.The home was spacious and well equipped The neighborhood is so quiet and peaceful, and the nearby trail views are spectacularThe landscaping was so beautiful and access to the lake was easy, even for my elderly mother. Perfect Family Reunion

This is our families second time staying at this lakefront property. The open concept floor plan is the perfect place for all of us to be together without feeling squished! We had a great time being together after over a year and celebrating the holidays. We’ll be back!

Beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Amazing trees, yard, beach, dock, landscaping. Secluded yet enjoyed local shops, arts, water sports, walk-in clinic, and restaurants. Amazing deck, kitchen, fireplace, yard games, card games, and nighttime skies. Highest quality stone, wood, architecture, leather furniture, and comfortable assortment of beds. We could have spent far more time there!

Beautiful Lake Setting for a Relaxing Vacation

We cannot wait for an opportunity to stay here again. The pictures really can't do the house and view justice. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment and were so sad to leave, but can't wait to come back. The inside of the house is so nicely furnished and there was more than enough seating and room for our group of friends and family. The large kitchen made preparing meals easy, and although there was plenty of seating at the table and bar the weather was perfect and we ate most of our dinners outside around the fire pit down by the water. Although the water was chilly it didn't keep the kids or adults out of the clearest water we've seen. We wish we had had time to rent a boat, but spent a lot of time in nearby Glacier National Park and exploring craft breweries. The owners were amazing! They were so pleasant and helpful during our stay. I don't think I can stress enough how amazing this location is how much we wished we could stay there for the rest of the summer. It would never get old. Thank you for one of the most unforgettable vacations! We can't wait to get back!

Summer Vacation Lakeside

The house is lovely, located right on the Flathead Lake. Dock leads you to water and boat, should you rent one in town or have your own. Family lives next door. Spectacular open living-entertainment space. Swing set for the kids. Only drawback was the daily arrival of goose poop on the lawn & dock, avoidable but a drawback none the less.

Something for all of us. Relaxing or resting or playing in the water or games on the lawn. The home is warm and inviting with plenty of space. Spectacular views especially in the evening. The surrounding area is park like.

Lovely

We stayed at the property for ten days in June. The grounds were very well maintained. The entire family enjoyed their stay. Kitchen was a joy to work in and the fire pit saw a lot of action. We ranged in age from late 70's to 2 year old twins and the home and grounds were a hit with everyone.

Perfect Holiday on Flathead Lake

We were fortunate to spend a little over 2 weeks at HADOWAJA, Shelley and Debby’s family cabin. The photos and write up on this rental do not do justice to the magnificently kept family gem. The views were nothing short of spectacular and the home was spotless and comfortable. Probably one of the most well-appointed homes in our lengthy VRBO history. Nothing was amiss as everything was top of the line, beautifully furnished, and amply stocked. Set on Rocky Point directly on Flathead lake the views and grounds are breathtaking as are the amenities and the cabin’s history. Communication was easy and check-in a breeze, Shelley, and Debby quickly responded to questions and went above and beyond as hosts. We cannot say enough about our last-minute stay, the views, history, peace, and wildlife were better than amazing. Our only regret was having to check out, it will be a place we will always hold dear to our hearts as we hope to return in the future.

AMAZING!

Hadawaja is the most amazing lodge! We enjoyed every aspect of our stay. The house was beyond comfortable. The views are breathtaking and the easy access to the lake was fabulous. We were there during and unexpected early snow storm and could not have asked for a more beautiful place to have a snow week. Looking forward to our next stay!

Fully equipped lodge experience with historic character

There has been a home/lodge on the property since 1939 and although the place now has everything a modern family could need (although I never figured out how the TV worked, who needs that at the lake!) - the sense of history is strong, as the home is peppered with family artifacts that reflect the almost 100 years of history in the area. A wonderful outdoor space for running around, and plenty of places to relax too. The pebble beach is perfect if you have a kiddo who loves to throw rocks like we do! The view of Wild Horse Island is just beautiful.

As a family of 5, we had plenty of room and loved the spacious living area and deck with a view and access to the lake. The sunsets were all glorious and we commented daily how happy we were with this VRBO! Definitely would recommend it to anyone.

'We,' Debby and Shelley are sisters who, along with our families, own this wonderful cabin. Shelley and husband Tim live in Missoula but spend most of the summer enjoying Flathead Lake at an adjacent property. Debby lives full time at the Lake. We both grew up near here and and have spent as much time as possible at the lake since we were born.

Why they chose this property

Our grandparents and parents have had this property since 1933 and the evolution has been remarkable. Now in the hands of the third generation, we think it is one of the most special places on earth. We are committed to passing it on to our children, as well.

What makes this property unique

The really special things about our home:
1. It has the character and warmth of and old cabin (the original building was constructed in 1933) with every modern amenity. It was completely remodeled in 2007.
2.The setting can't be beat. Best spot (we think anyway!) on Flathead lake.
3. The green grass yard, swing set and sand box are designed for kids--and croquet and bocce and volley ball and lying down and watching the clouds.
4. the dock is only a few feet from the front door and the gradual beach is perfect for swimming.
5. The fire pit is a place to make s'mores you will all remember.
6. The sunsets are fabulous and different every night
7. Hiking and biking are terrific. There are 3 golf courses within 30 minutes and they are affordable.
