Aloha and welcome to our slice of heaven on Flathead Lake.
This cottage has been the gathering place for generations of our family, and we built it (and protect it) for moments that matter. Sunsets that turn the Mission Mountains pink. Mornings when the lake is so still it looks like glass. Kids learning to swim off the dock while grandparents watch from the deck with coffee. The pictures don't do it justice, and our guests will be the first to tell you so.
THE DECK
The heart of this cottage is our large lake-facing deck, set high in the trees with sweeping views of Flathead Lake and the Mission Mountains. Guests describe it as treehouse living. Sliding glass doors open onto the deck from the kitchen, the living room, and the master bedroom, so the whole cottage flows out toward the lake. There is a locked safety gate, a grill ready for dinner, and room for everyone to gather for morning coffee, sunsets over the Missions, or stargazing once the night arrives. Full lake access all day long, no stairs required.
THE DOCK
Our private dock sits on Skidoo Bay, one of the calmest, dreamiest stretches of Flathead Lake. Deep water at the corner for jumping in and real swimming, with natural shallow rock shelves on either side where little ones can wade safely. Toddlers and teenagers play side by side. The boat lift is yours, stand-up paddle boards, canoe, are ready and waiting, and most guests tell us they spent more time down there than anywhere else. The wooden stairway down the bluff keeps the dock private and uncrowded, which is part of the magic.
ROOM FOR EVERYONE, SLEEPS 10
A king suite on the main floor with private sliding glass doors that open right onto the deck. A queen-over-queen bunk bed in the upstairs loft that the kids will absolutely claim as their treehouse. A queen day bed and sleeper queen sofa in the living area for whoever wants to fall asleep listening to the lake. The walk-in closet upstairs fits a pack-n-play perfectly. Two full bathrooms with everything you need.
INSIDE THE COTTAGE
A fully stocked kitchen that makes cooking feel like part of the vacation, with sliding doors right out to the deck for indoor-outdoor meals. AC and heat throughout. A cozy fireplace for cool mountain evenings. Fast Starlink WiFi (great for remote work), a Smart TV, washer and dryer, and a basket of toys, books, and games waiting for the kids. We have stocked this place with the things our own family wanted when we have stayed here. If it makes the stay better, it is probably already here.
A FEW HONEST NOTES
We share this land with black bears, deer, and other Rocky Mountain wildlife, and a bear-resistant trash bin keeps everyone safe. The dock is reached by a wooden stairway down the bluff (about 100 steps), and the deck offers the same lake and mountain views without the stairs. We are on well water, which is naturally hard and tasty. There is a single exterior camera at the front door for check-in verification only, and smoke and carbon monoxide detectors throughout. Aloha spirit required: be kind, respect quiet hours from 10 PM to 7 AM, and treat this place like family.
All-inclusive pricing. No hidden fees. Just Montana.
Mahalo for choosing us. We cannot wait to welcome you to Finley Point.
A hui hou,
