This new one room studio sits inside the Edwin B Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge and is a bird watchers paradise with 366 species of birds observed and documented here.Look up Edwin B Forsythe and you will see info on the visitor center with walking trails.) Steps to a private dock for crabbing, fishing or your water toys. Tranquility abounds but close to AC, Brigantine, Historic Port Republic & Smithville Village!
The space
Billie’s on the water: The studio includes water views, a kitchenette (fridge, microwave, hot plate,coffee maker, toaster air fryer& a crockpot) and is full of natural light. The private deck has a table and chairs for dining. The sunset views are spectacular.
There’s a smart tv with WIFI.
Steps to the Mottscreek Inn for dockside dining & live music or fishing off their pier!
I have 2 private docks in my backyard for excellent crabbing and fishing. Port Republic swimming park is 4.8 miles away. Parking for 1-2 cars. If needed I have an extra long driveway for vehicles with trailers.

Your own private studio with a deck and 3 boat slips. The deck is for your own private use.
Other things to note
Provided for you are linens, pillows, towels for showering, dishes, silverware, charcoal grill (bring your own charcoal) & grilling utensils. I have a toaster, air fryer, hot plate, crockpot and classic drip coffee pot with filters as well as a keurig. Sorry there is no stove/oven but there are many wonderful restaurants/eateries close by.

The host requires you complete the following before checking out:
Gather used towels
Turn off the lights and return the keys
Do not strip bed . Make sure all wet towels are off the floor. You can place them in shower or hang outside on dry rack or inside on coat rack.Leave leftovers in fridge for housekeeping.
Power everything off including the AC/heat, coffee maker and lights. Do not lock the door. Leave the key in the glass apple where you found it. If you moved furniture, return it to its original.
Let me know when you’ve left.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Turn off deck light once tucked in for the night
Smoking only permitted outside. Please make sure to put your cigarette completely out as to not start a marsh fire.

Very comfortable, clean modernized cabin with beautiful vistas of the salt marsh. Plenty of space, decks and tranquility, close to Oyster Creek Inn for a great dining experience and the John Forsyth Nature Preserve for viewing wildlife.

People come back year after year to experience the Edwin B Forsyth nature preserve whether it’s for walking or cycling its trails. I also have many bird photographers come as it’s home to hundreds of species of birds. The oyster Creek boat bar is one of my favorites and only a couple of miles from the house. Motts Creek in boat bar is also walkable from my house and my dock is perfect for fishing.Thanks again, Fran!

If you’re looking for a quiet spot for crabbing, this is the perfect place to go! We easily caught 100 crabs. The house was very clean & check in/out was simple. We had a great stay!

I’m from Pennsylvania, but have always come to the Jersey shore as a child. It’s been my lifelong dream to live near the water. I feel blessed to live here. I really enjoy being a host and making sure your stay is comfortable and private.

Why they chose this property

I never experienced quiet like this. You feel like you are far away but convenient to a variety of fun activities.
I’m only 20 to 25 minutes from AC and there are a lot of restaurants and bars locally including one at the dead end of my street.

What makes this property unique

I am in the Edwin B Forsyth nature preserve. The salt marsh is serene. The sunsets are extreme. It is a bird watchers paradise any time of the year.
Practically every window has a view of the tributary/water. I have a dock and deck for your own private use. it is a place of solitude with very few neighbors. There is dockside dining that you can walk to with amazing views of the water. It truly is a magical place!
