Welcome to our home, Coastal Escape. We love the peace and quiet here, overlooking Mantel Lake—though it's really just a large pond. We enjoy watching the ducks, the blue heron, and all the birds that stop by.
Our home has a large deck, patio with a covered Hot-Tub, BBQ, outdoor furniture, fully fenced.
We have an EV charger, beach supplies, ping pong, foosball, bikes, 3 Smart TV's, indoor gas fireplace and lots of great spots to read a book and relax.

Beautiful home with everything we needed. Location was perfect. Bikes & toys were great got the kids. Linens were clean & organized. Kitchen fully functional. Plenty of space for our blended family. Peaceful, comfortable. The perfect stay. Would definitely stay again!

This is a lovely house with a very beautiful view of the pond and a wonderful garden. There was plenty of room for the family to spread out and relax and enjoy the beach get away. It’s a nice walk to the promenade and beach and about a mile walk to the center of town.

Beautiful house, cozy living spaces. Large beds and bedrooms. 4 stars because there were a lot of rules. Rules that were aggressive with threats of charging money for breaking them. They made us feel like we had already done something wrong before even getting there. A lot of rules to sift through, a lot of common sense rules. It felt like they've had their house mistreated in the past. Have restricted hours (6am - 9 pm) on when you can use the hot tub is wild. I'm paying to stay in a house with a hot tub. If I wanted restricted hours I would stay in a hotel. Also, texting me while I'm on vacation asking when I'm going to be out of the house left a bad taste in my mouth. I would stay again but the hosts need to chill a bit.

Our guests are very contentious, but the City of Seaside do get lots of complaints from late Hot tub use. We are so fortunate to share our home with visitors so to keep our permit in good standing, following the cities rules are of high priority. I've looked through our house rules, and we only mention charging for Dog Poop. :) Many guests find texting a more convenient communication instead of logging into an app for information and communication. Our stay was magical! Easy walk to the beach, beautiful landscaping, quiet safe neighborhood. Loved the deck and watching blue herons, ducks and racoons on edge of water. The large hot tub was a great bonus. The kitchen was more stocked than any house we have ever rented. Really appreciated the impeccable cleanliness of entire house. Beds were super comfortable. Also enjoyed the bonus amenities of bikes and beach wagon! Many other fun gear we didn’t use. Host was very responsive and easy to deal with. If we come back to seaside we would absolutely rent this home again!

Malia was raised in Honaunau, Hawaii in a little town south of Kona. We love raising our daughter Pualani on the lovely Oregon Coast. Our business area includes Gearhart, Seaside, Cannon Beach & Arch Cape. We enjoy walking around the beaches year-round, swimming in the creeks during the summer warmer months, or surfing. Some of our favorite hiking spots are Oswald West and Ecola State Park from Crest beach to Indian beach. Everywhere we go we see someone we are connected to. From going to the post office, grocery shopping, having a meal, or just shopping. Which is why we started our business Kukui House Services here. Kukui means “light” in Hawaiian. Kukui “Light” House Services. We help owners with their rental or private home, and our guests so they experience a wonderful stay.
