Improvements and additions were added over the years as grandchildren and great-grandchildren arrived. It's our dream to continue our parents legacy and keep this property in our family.

Perfect location, comfortable home, many memories made
The location of the property is a perfect area of Flathead, close to two state park islands by boat. Easy directions make finding it simple....follow the signs. The home is well equipped with all necessities. It is a comfortable home with a window a/c unit for warmer days. The porch overlooking the lake was a favorite hangout. Everyone enjoyed the hummingbirds that fed at the feeder all day. The trail to the shore is gravel and a little steep for older adults that may have trouble with stability but our grandparents made out wonderfully. The fire pit at the beach is a perfect place for evening happenings although there was a fire ban during our late summer stay - plenty of seating and even hot dog/marshmallow sticks available. The dock was great for our boats with a lift for the boat and the jet ski. Around the corner of the lake, accessed by boa,t were awesome native american pictographs on the cliffs and great cliffs for jumping off of! The kids and adults loved that!! Fish were caught, kayaking and paddle boating, and tubing were enjoyed and many memories were made!! The perfect recipe for a great family vacation.
Thank you for your review! We are glad you enjoyed our home.. hope you will be back!
We had a great time!
It’s a quaint cabin with great views.
Thank you for your review. Glad you enjoyed our home!
Quiet, beautiful surroundings, at home feel of cabin.
The dock, the beach, fire pit all excellent. So nice to have refrigerator room. One bathroom is in the master room, both are on main floor. The loft is usable for young people, not us older ones. The room in the downstairs is great because it has it's own porch area and path right to the lake. If you need a bathroom, you have to go upstairs to main floor. We felt right at home.
Glad you enjoyed our home! Please come back and visit!
A vintage cabin with a homey feel.
If you are looking for an up to date, modern, ritzy place with all the bells and whistles....this place is not for you. If you want a place that feels like home, with love of family and room to let the dog run...this place is for you. A large porch over looks the lake with a breath taking view. The fire pit was used often and since we brought a boat, we could use the boat hoist to raise it out of the water when the wind picked up the waves. Mary had all the pots, pans, bedding, towels, games, spices and much more available. We stayed at a Ritzy multi million $ home in Woods Bay across the lake last year where you were afraid to touch anything. We preferred Gramma's Cabin in Rollins more. Why, it felt like a cabin we used to bring the family to 30 years ago in Canada. We think this side of the lake has more shade which is valuable on hot days. It was close to Wild Horse Island. It was sheltered by two islands in front of the cabin cutting down on choppy water. It just felt homey. We most certainly are booking a repeat stay here as soon as we can schedule our vacation. I've read a nasty review from a BMW/Cadillac type person and I say fine, this place is not for you. But if you're an old Ford or Chevy person with a pick-up and lab for a pet....I don't get any better. It's nestled way back in the woods, but right on the lake. Close to Lakeside for lots of activity, but surrounded by family cottages that don't rent out and it was very quiet. It was perfect for our family.
Comfortable, spacious house with stunning beach
This home has the most beautiful beach and dock. We spent two glorious days sitting on the deck watching the lake, laying on the dock in the sunshine, and swimming off the beach. The house has a canoe and a paddle boat, which we used to explore the islands offshore. There is a fire pit right on the beach where we roasted hotdogs and marshmallows in the evenings. We came here with two young children and my two elderly parents, and it was comfortable and fun for everyone. The perfect place for a family getaway. Mary, the host, was friendly and prompt in her communications. A wonderful vacation, and we hope to come back someday.
We are so glad you enjoyed our home! Would love to have you back. Feel free to reach out anytime! Thank you again! Mary
Property was great for a family reunion but dealing through VRBO was unacceptable.
Everyone enjoyed the vacation in the woods. I also enjoyed our relationship with the owner. The cabin in the woods was an excellent venue for our family reunion.
I will not, however, deal through VRBO ever again as 1) the payment requirements (amounts and dates) changed several times during the time leading up to the occupancy date , and 2) the $269 service fee is excessive and worthless.
Thank you for the wonderful review! We are so glad you enjoyed our home. We would love to have you stay with us again. I believed you have our contact information.
There are many opportunities to explore on and around the lake. Nearby attractions include: Glacier National Park, Whitefish Mountain Resort, Blacktail Ski Area, many world class golf courses within 30 miles, Bigfork Summer Playhouse, art galleries, fine dining, shopping, the Bob Marshall Wilderness, river rafting, guided fishing activities and other outdoor activities. There are boat rental shops close by. Flathead Lake is second to none for enjoying the Big Sky country!
