Excellent location - close to everything the Keweenaw Peninsula offers. Easy walk to the beach - perfect for my rock hound hubby! Hosts (Anthony and Kate) were so knowledgeable about the area and when I asked for an additional lamp, brought one over. We hope to return to the area next year and would definitely stay at this cottage!additional lig

Definitely needed a fly swatter, the beds were not the most comfortable all in all I enjoyed my stay.

We had a great weekend staying at the cabins. The property is in a good location for exploring the tip of the Keweenaw peninsula. Anthony was a great host and was very responsive when we reached out to him with questions.

The beds are not the most comfortable, but toy can not beat the view of the lake. The beach literally less than a minute walk. We found several yupperlites while there also.

This was a very nice location and only about one minute from the beach/Fitzgerald's Restaurant, however, there is no beach view from the two small cabins that are part of this rental. The view in the listing pics is from the road and the other from the lawn of the main house which is not part of the rental. So, the beach view is outside and away from the cabins. You can definitely hear the waves crashing from the cabins via open windows, so that is nice. The cabins were exceptionally clean and tidy, but the size of them is a bit skewed due to the fisheye lens photos used in the listing (think real estate listings). So, I was taken aback as to how "cozy" they were compared to the listing photos. The bathroom in one cabin is only three feet wide so definitely would be tight for a large adult. The other bathroom was larger so that was nice. Because we were just two friends we mostly stayed in the cabin that had the bedroom/bed. There is no stove at all, no cooktops, which I didn't expect so that was my fault for not reading the fine print. Bed was okay, There is wifi but the TV in the middle cabin had only DVD/VCR and no channels or cable. Had to listen to the Brewers game instead of watch it. I can't recall what the other cabin had for TV. The heater worked very well but since it is tight space it was hard to keep an even temp. That all said, the accommodations grew on us and it was a decent stay.

What a wonderful surprise. Anthony, our host was incredible! Mel was awesome too! Immediate responses to any questions and the kindest energy throughout the entire process.The cabin was perfect. Clean, basic, and perfectly located to the beach. Walk outside the cabin, make a left and about 10 steps from the front door you will be able to see the beautiful, crystal clear waters of Lake Superior. Walk 30 seconds down the road and you will be at the beach. Fires roaring right on the shore, a top notch restaurant located inside the hotel Fritz, and miles and miles of Beautiful shoreline to explore in either direction. My boyfriend and I love to camp but our kids didn’t want to, so we put up our tent while they slept inside. A great compromise for different personalities. What we all agreed upon was how amazing the town was, how much there was to do, and sitting by the fire every night roasting marshmallows and laughing until we cried was definitely a much needed break!We were so sad to go home. Definitely will be coming back to stay next year! Or maybe again this year! If you have never been to the UP and want a place to stay where you can experience the full beauty of this magical land! Then this is the perfect little cabin to rent! Thank you Anthony for answering all my many questions! You are a wonderful host!!
