We were a family of 10 adults, a 6yo, 3yo and 8month old and spent a week in early August at the Beach House. Granny was just after back surgery and with the 8month old waking in the night, the en-suite bedrooms on the ground floor were ideal. The further dbl room on the ground floor, and the 2 dbls (1 en suite) and triple on the first floor meant everyone was accommodated and the youngest guests could go to bed upstairs while adults chilled out in the conservatory (monitors worked throughout the house). There are also 2 family bathrooms upstairs and downstairs and a cloakroom in the utility room, so no queues for facilities.
Plenty of eating and seating areas both in the kitchen and dining room, and further seating areas in the conservatory. There is a large, plasma screen tv but we didn't feel the need to watch, we mostly flew kites in the garden, played pool or table-tennis in the conservatory, and went to the beach as often as weather permitted. We also made use of the bar-be-que provided, which is a good size for feeding a group.
Although getting to the beach does mean a short car journey, it is only a few minutes and the beach and sand dunes are fantastic. There's a clothes line in the back garden which was handy for throwing beach wet togs and towels on. A walk in the Ravenswood forest is also highly recommended, even if you don't complete the full 9km circuit (we didn't!).
Curracloe is just a few mins away in the car (en route to the beach), the fish and chips from the local pub come recommended and the local shop seems to have everything! Wexford town is just a short drive away.
All in all a great location, everyone enjoyed themselves, and the owners and the person who met to hand over keys were very friendly and helpful.
