Oksana's Tropical Beach Oasis w/Pool, & Hot Tub

Bedrooms 4
Space 4,000 sq. ft.
Property type house
Minimum Stay 3 - 7 nights

About the property

4 Bedroom, 3 Bath With Extra Sleeping

Oksana's Tropical Beach Oasis is a spacious ocean front property with spectacular views and a large swimming pool with overflow spa. The beach area has not been dug out by man. We recommend you bring swim shoes to walk around in that area. Kayaking is great in the shallow waters of the Keys and this rental provides 2 double and 2 single kayaks. The dock is currently under repairs from Hurricane Irma and is not available for use. There are two large screened in porches over look Cudjoe Bay with panoramic views of the ocean and tropical landscape. Great location in the Lower Florida Keys with only a 20 minute drive to Key West.

Awesome vacation

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I rented Oksana for 3 weeks. Our two kids with grandkids stayed with us for a week each family. Lots of space for everyone. Spent our time kayaking, fishing off the dock, swimming in the pool.

Square Grouper is a must for dinner, just 1 mile north., Luna across the street is another great restaurant. Guys went on 2 fishing charters, we went into Key West a few days. Great family vacation and Shannon and Amy of Walkabout were great to work with. Highly recommend staying here. Oh and the tiki hut is a great place for an afternoon nap, cocktail or quite place to read.

Spacious and luxurious

  • 5 of 5

My parents rented this house to celebrate their golden anniversary with my family (husband, 2 teenaged boys) and my sister. My boys never got bored with the pool, hot tub, kayaks, multiple rooms to hang out in, and the abundance of nature (geckos, land crabs (!), iguanas, fish to feed at the end of the dock). There were many sitting areas so everyone had a sense of space and privacy. The photos don't do the property justice. It was much more beautiful and spacious than we expected. The kitchen was well apportioned with basic ingredients (oils, spices, etc) left from previous visitors, I assume. There were plenty of decent quality pots, pans, utensils, dishes and silverware. We were pleased to find dishwasher detergent and basic cleaning supplies also. The location was close enough to go to Key West every day, find a fishing charter, visit the nature preserve on Big Pine Key, and enjoy the local restaurants. We would love to come back some day!

Family Spring Break Vacation

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 7 picked Oksana's to spend a week away from the winter blahs. We were very happy to find that the house was pretty much what it was advertised to be. Wonderful outside amenities including the pool, hot tub, kayaks, tiki hut and outdoor seating. The screened in porches were great. The house is set up to allow plenty of room for privacy and to be able to spread out. The location in Cudjoe Key is convenient for visiting attractions in the Keys and perfect for getting to Key West. If I had a criticism it would be that the mattress in one of the master bedrooms has seen better days but overall it was one of the better VRBO homes we have stayed in. We would definitely return should our travels bring us back to the Keys

When we walked through the front doors it was amazing! Nice looking place with a nice view but as the day and days went on we noticed some things starting in the master bedroom upstairs the view was great, nice big room and bathroom but the shower half worked the 3 jets on the side did not work and the handle for it was missing and it leaks bad under the shower door need a towel or 2 on the floor, the spa tub was nice but outdated. The next bedroom which has a balcony off the front of the house the doors to go out to the balcony would not open and the smoke alarm was missing both fire hazards, the bed was awful. The bathroom next to that room was nice except for the Iguana that jammed up there) the bed is not comfortable and the bathroom is very small! Kitchen area was very nice except for the smoke detector is too close to stove anything with a little smoke it’s going off and do not leave anything on the counter or sink or you will have ants in it! The pool/spa area was nice except for when we arrived on Saturday the pool was only 52 degrees(says 82 all times in description) and the hot tub was lukewarm we did turn the knob on next to the tub several times to make it warmer but it would not get warmer by Monday I was calling owner for two reasons the COLD POOL/SPA and the neighbors that were renting the house next door were screaming, swearing and carrying on loudly the owner did call me back after 3 hours when I first called and did take care of the neighbors they were not as loud you could still hear them all week, but the pool/spa took till Wednesday to get warm (Vacation half over by now). The dock area was ok but there is no way you can dock a boat too shallow and to fish off its ok you have to use your neighbors area to fish our dock side was by the sink area. The next master bedroom that goes out to the screened porch the ceiling fan is very noisy (others have tried to fix it with papers was very shallow and gross don’t put your toes in the water as lots of jellyfish will get you! Not a nice beach area at all! We did kayak and that was good! For the price we paid for the week I really wasn’t pleased! I wish more people would’ve written more honest reviews about this place I would’ve definitely look harder for a nicer one this was our 25th wedding anniversary gift to each other and our family! It was suppose to of been a great memory without all of the bad things listed above.

Owner's Response: I am so sorry you did not have a great experience at Oksana's Tropical Beach Oasis. My mission is to create a wonderful place for people to have a great vacation experience. Our customers are very important to us and we are available 24/7 if needed. I appreciate your detailed feed back because that assists us in making a better product for people to enjoy. We recommend people use our comment cards so we can keep the house in the best condition possible. Our relationship with our customers is important. I apologize for the pool heater sensor breaking during your stay. We fixed it as quickly as possible. The renters next door were obnoxious the week you were there and I complained to the owners. They did speak with them and no other incidents were reported. I would have been happy to call the police if they continued to bother you. This is a quiet residential neighborhood and we try to keep it that way so our customers can have an enjoyable experience. The beds are on my list to be updated. I was able to get a new bed in the master bedroom this Fall (after a lot of insisting). Hopefully this review will force the owner to give me permission to update the other mattresses. The beach has not been dug out by man. It is a natural keys shallow water. I tell people to bring their water shoes if they want to walk around out there. If you want to swim in the ocean, the best way is to go out in a kayak and swim off of that in deeper water. We advertise the house as one with great ocean views and great swimming pool. We recommend only one small boat up to 22 feet or a jet ski be docked here. There is a channel marked to go in and out. We do have other large homes in our rental pool that are better for ocean swimming, fishing and boating off of the dock. If the house was stellar, the rate would be higher. The rate is discounted at this home because it does have some dated elements. The kitchen and two bathrooms were remodeled in the Fall of 2016. Other parts of the house are still in the process of being updated. You listed some house/maintenance issues and we will take care of those. Thanks again for your feedback.

Large Group at the Oasis

  • 5 of 5

We had a large group staying together for 1 week. This house accommodated all our needs and slept everyone comfortably. The pool and hot tub were a great place to wind down after a long day of excursions. I would definitely stay here again.

Family Trip from MD, TX & MA.

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 3 couples and 2 singles (ages 48-80) stayed here in April and loved it. The house is as depicted in the pictures. Everything was clean and ready for our arrival. The lower screen porch was where we had all our meals, large enough table for 8 and ceiling fans kept us cool on the humid days. The gas grill was brand new, we used it every night we ate in. The upper screen porch off master bedroom has new comfortable loungers to enjoy the great view of the water, great for morning coffee lounging & evening cocktail sunset viewing. Kitchen was well stocked with dishware, utensils and cookware. The pots and pans were a little dated. Plenty of kitchen towels, but they looked well used. Beds were not new but comfortable. All bedrooms were large but the lower level master was not very private as one wall next to the stairs did not go all the way to ceiling. (?) Here's my pet peeve, not having a set of twin beds in one of the bedrooms (this goes for all house rentals we've stayed at !) Opposite sex kids don’t want to share a bed, neither do single adults, who may share a room. All 3 bathrooms were stocked with towels, hand soap, bar soap and toilet paper. Plenty of extra towels/beach towels in closet. Upstairs master bedroom bathroom was hugh and open. (Could use curtains on upper windows) Second master bedroom bath is a small shower stall. Main hall bath is large, but could use a hand rail next to bathtub to get in/out of tub. Tile floor can be slick! Hand rail also would be nice in the hallway from kitchen leading to bedrooms, there are 2 steps and again tile floor can be slippery. Pool and hottub were great, with enough lounger around for sunning. The beach/pier area was fun, lots of hermit crabs and other sea life to watch, plus the Iguanas running around. Can't swim there as it's very shallow. Best of all was the use of 4 kayaks, just grab a life jacket and push off to paddle around the area. Area is rocky so wear water shoes. Had one issue with hottub not heating and management was very responsive with getting the issue resolved quickly. Also has issue with lower level air conditioner, management came right over (10 minutes) to check it out, then had AC man over shortly thereafter. Thanks for the the quick response!! Made multiple trips to Key West, only 1/2 hr away. Bahia Honda state park has a great beach area and is 1/2 hr drive away.
