Private Beachfront Cottage on Lake Michigan

Bedrooms 3
Space 1,300 sq. ft.
Property type cottage
Minimum Stay 7 nights

About the property

Off the grid getaway w/ private beach, priceless view, spacious accommodations.

Although just minutes from the bustle of Holland’s major attractions, restaurants and shopping, the moment you arrive at Camelot, a sense of calm takes over.

Camelot is the place to delight in simple, summer memories. Building sand castles and searching for shells along the private beach. Feeling content exhaustion from playing all day in the surf. Relaxing with sunset cocktails on the deck. Then … fall asleep (and wake up) to the gentle sound of waves.

Perfect for family time or entertaining. Camelot has a full kitchen, outdoor grill area, expansive dining space, living room with fireplace and a large deck that stretches from the cottage to the bluff. Two bedrooms with full-sized beds are complemented by a loft, which includes a set of bunk-beds that’s great for kids. Sleeps up to eight people. A full bathroom is on the main floor.

Ideal for vacationers within driving distance, as pets are always welcomed at Camelot. Linens and towels are not provided. Only 50 steps between the bluff and the beach. A storage unit at the base of the steps keeps an assortment of beach and water toys, organized for your use.

Great location! Perfect for our family!

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was well stocked and comfortable. The view of Lake Michigan and sunsets can't be beat! Our family had a great time on the beach, the deck, and the screened in porch for playing lots of games. The outdoor shower was a hit, especially for our big dog! Hope we can come back next summer.

A perfect visiting spot for meeting halfway--part of family from Chicago , and part from Ann Arbor.

We LOVED the setting. We were enthralled by the views from the deck, the small deck with a built-in bench halfway down the staircase to the beach, and of course the beach! The neighborhood is lovely. The yard and back deck are awesome, as is the sunroom, which is quite ample. There are plenty of places to get comfy in the cottage and in the sunroom, including a daybed in a little side room between the kitchen and living room. The cottage itself is a diamond in the rough. We loved the older style cottage as well as the antique furniture. I think it would be quite worthwhile for the owner to invest in some restoration/renovation. We had a great week both at the cottage and away, with day trips to Holland, Grand Haven, and Saugatuck. all within an easy drive. There are many, many choices for meals out, and groceries are very close by as well. So is Starbucks, Panera, and anything else you might need. Over all we had an absolutely wonderful week at Camelot.

Exactly what we wanted!

  • 5 of 5

This was our first time renting a beach cottage, and it was everything we'd hoped for. The cottage is really charming, authentic and comfortable. You get the sense a lot of memories have been made here. The photos represent it well. The photos can't do justice to the location and views though. Wow. Stunning. From any spot -- the deck, the dune, the beach -- it's picture perfect. We made a nightly event of curling up with blankets and popcorn on the deck and watching the sun set. Better than a movie. Also, the owners are very gracious and readily available (though nothing came up). And I appreciate that we could bring our dog, as I noticed most cottages aren't pet friendly. Highly recommend!
