About Teresa

We are native Seattlites, living now part time in Seattle, Sandpoint, ID and on our boat. We love West Seattle and feel there is no better place to feel part of a small beach community within a major metropolitan area. With the wonderful reviews by our guests of our first VRBO unit, we decided to add this second unit to VRBO in the spring of 2013.

Teresa purchased this condo in 2005

Why Teresa chose West Seattle

The location is very, very special. It has been in our family for two generations first as a beach cottage, in the 70's a new luxury executive suite 2 unit apartment was build on the site. In 2006 the building underwent a major remodel. This unit offers the quiet of a private waterfront location while being within easy walking distance to the fun activities of Alki Beach Park. If you choose to leave the beach for downtown Seattle, it is only minutes away. We believe this is the best place live and vacation in Seattle.

What makes this condo unique

Our property gives us the chance to see eagles flying overhead, sea lions, otters, sea birds within feet of the waterline, schools of orca when in season, even a gray whale once in a while. We love walking the beach finding treasures or simply being on the patio enjoying the sun and the sounds of the sea, walking to a restaurant or biking or roller blading from the front yard. It is inspiring to watch the boating traffic anything from sailboarders to sailing races to large commercial freighters. This place has a 'soul' to us and it and has been very loved part of our family.

Fantastic and worth every penny!g

I stayed in April for about 5 days and it was perfect. The apartment was spotless, much larger then the photo's can convey and fully outfitted for everything you could need. Couple of helpful things to know about the location. About a 9 minute walk there are bus stops that take you either into West Seattle Junction (great farmer's market on Sundays) as well as to the ferry to downtown Seattle (Pike Place Market etc.). You are quite far (if no vehicle!) from all other attractions like ferries to Vashon Island, so if you are looking to sight see, rent a car. If not, an Uber from the the airport and the bus system will be just fine. The views from the apartment are out of this world, so if you just need to unplug for a few days, this is the spot. Bring groceries though as Alki Beach is sorely lacking any type of grocery store and you won't be able to manage food based on what's on offer. The Top Shop donut shop has the best donuts I have ever tasted, but that is not exactly breakfast :). Last point, if you struggle with mobility or lifting heavy things (suit cases!), the stairs to the apartment are formidable, and no wheelchair access or elevator.

Best kept secret in Seattle

  • 5 of 5

Ummm, yeah.....

So, It's my third stay at Teresa and Michael's little piece of heaven on the very tip-end of the farthest point you could possibly be into the Puget Sound in West Seattle / Alki Beach. I came here for 8 days this time. Alone. It was absolute bliss.

I literally went into the city only once on this whole trip. I'm now sitting here writing this review 7 minutes before check-out, and I'll tell ya right now, the cleaners are just going to have to kick me out.

Again.

Amazing property right on Alki Beach with stunning views. Short drive to downtown Seattle but also plenty of restaurants within walking distance from property. Property had everything that my wife and I needed. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

A beautiful retreat on the quiet point of Alki Beach, with great access to all Seattle has to offer.

  • 5 of 5

The property is ideally located away from busy downtown Seattle on the point of Alki Beach, a laid-back 'resort community' only minutes from Seattle's major attractions. The home is wonderfully kept, and very well appointed and stocked. The view is spectacular. The property exceeded our expectations and we look forward to visiting again soon. This place is a real gem and I'd recommend it without hesitation to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Seattle!

Understated Elegance

  • 5 of 5

Entertained friends from out of town and it was the perfect venue. From the hustle and bustle of the downtown area to the serene deck where a late afternoon early evening wine tasting became the norm. A beautiful well appointed Condo in a beautiful location.

West Seattle is made up of several neighborhoods, a beachfront, large parks and memorable views of the Seattle skyline, Puget Sound and the Cascade and Olympic mountains. The community hosts several popular natural settings, including Alki Beach, Lincoln Park, Longfellow Creek and Trail, Schmitz Preserve Park, and Westcrest Park. Washington State Ferries in the Fauntleroy neighborhood serve Vashon Island and Southworth on the Kitsap Peninsula. A shuttle ferry, the West Seattle Water Taxi, runs over to downtown Seattle. It is the home to many highly acclaimed restaurants, bars, grocery stores, art galleries and shopping opportunities.
