St Barthélemy is a unique destination that speaks for and sells itself. You may know this already, as this may not be your first trip.
As to this slice of heaven, the key appeal is the residential neighborhood and million-dollar endless view. The view is one of the best on the island, of which one never tires. Within a day of arrival, disconnection from the passage of time as one looks out over the end of the Caribbean Sea, knowing that this is land's end until West Africa. Incredible sunrises over the Atlantic, each morning offering a different miracle.
This real estate opportunity was a miracle as well. Given the cost of both land in such an exclusive place and construction on a volcanic island, we never could have afforded building or buying. It was only a wild dream. But across 15 years of regular visits, we became family-like friends with the owners of the main villa. Knowing our love for St Barts, they designed and built their main villa with a single apartment for us in mind. They offered us a long term lease, generous rights to operate it for vacation rentals and liberal input into the design and construction decisions. It's now our pleasure to share this good fortune with others who love - or will surely come to love - St Barts and this particular corner of this exceptional island!
Development on St Bart's - Please Note: The island has construction and renovation projects of varying degrees year-round, especially post-Irma. No neighborhood is immune - including Colombier. You may hear the tock, tock of occasional rock diggers or jack hammers. Good news is that times are regulated. Permitted construction times for the island are Monday-Friday (7am-5pm with a min. 1 hr lunch break) and Saturday (7am-12pm). During Festive period Dec 15-January 5, there is no permitted heavy construction on the Island. Property directly below the Villa will have construction during 2023-2024. they must abide by above rules.
