Perfect for a couple! Located in our peaceful spacious campground, this log sided all wood interior park model offers grand views of the surrounding mountains from the large deck and covered hot tub. Paved private roads for those morning or evening walks or run. You are only two miles from the Wears Cove Entrance of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Enjoy sitting around the campfire on those cool mountain nights. You are only a short walk or bicycle ride to the fishing pond, covered picnic area, swimming pool and concession stand which is open during the summer months. You are welcome to bring your golf cart! Plenty of room to park a motorcycle or car trailer. Paved parking and easy access for motorcycle riders. This rustic, nicely furnished park model is your perfect, affordable mountain get-away and our campground staff is available to assist you.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at this rental 4 times. The location is perfect. The RV park it's located in is one of the nicest I've seen. The cabin itself desperately needs some upgrades. The furniture bottomed out when you sat in it. There is no where to comfortability sit to even share a meal. The little screened in porch was missing a screen,in the door,and has never been usable the 4 times we've been. Fix it, and put a nice table and chairs out there. The shower is TINY, which we knew, but be prepared, if you drop the soap, you have to open the door and step out to retrieve it. At close to $1000 a week, some of that $ could be spent on some much needed upgrades.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I were very pleased with the registration process. We called Cove Mountain Realty and Lamar was great. For the most part Almost Camping was nice. I was a little disappointed that the screened porch had no furniture to sit out there and have morning coffee. The couch and chair were a little uncomfortable, but other than that it was fine. We would stay there again.

Our stay

This place wasn’t clean, terrible experience when checking in. AP on arrival grass was almost waist high. The cob webs were terrible. The only thing good was the location and the drive wasn’t bad to get to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. We asked for. Refund and was told it wasn’t allowed. Definitely won’t be back. Also though it was ridiculous that the pool closed at 5 PM. We visited the pool and stuff one time before when we stayed somewhere else bc it’s open to the public with a charge. We thought we would enjoy staying in this small cabin. But pictures definitely didn’t add up upon arrival to property. And just so you know don’t go to the check in place on site you have to go back up the road.

Great small cabin in quiet area

LOVED this little cabin for a relaxing vacation! Wears Valley location is far enough from the congestion of Pigeon Forge but still close enough for the entertainment. We found several nice eateries in Wears Valley. There is a very good chance we will return to this cabin in the future.

Great Family Time

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Driving up was a beautiful entrance I think the big tree in front of the deck takes away from the cabin the back of the cabin definitely needs a privacy fence that takes away from the whole experience inside the cabin there needs to be some issues addressed needs new appliances the floors could have been cleaner the windows was drafty with webs we love the location we would stay there again if some issues was taken care of the back of the cabin was really a disappointment we pulled up the drive and saw the junk vehicles and actually thought someone was in the cabin

Almost Camping

This cabin was just as listed. It has a Mountain View, though obstructed somewhat by trees, it was still peaceful. The hot tub made a lovely addition to our evenings. The campground was quiet, we rarely seen other people even out. When I couldn’t get the code to work on the door lock, I was able to get ahold of management immediately and they informed me I was at the wrong cabin (LOL!). They guided me to the right one and made sure the code worked. Concerns: upon arrival, there was a pile of towels in the shower which made me wonder if it was cleaned. Nothing else made me think it wasn’t, so I simply moved the pile of towels. Comcast did not work in the bedroom. The internet was very slow so streaming tv barely worked and was poor quality. Our third night, we didn’t have internet at all. The door had a huge gap between the top and the frame. We stuffed a towel in it at night. But to be honest, the small amount of time we actually stayed in the home, these issues were easily overlooked. It was a fair price, heat, hot water and electric all worked as expected. Thank you!

September 2023 Stay

We've stayed with Cove Mountain Realty for years. We always love staying at any of their rentals. We especially love Almost Camping. It is the easiest property if you bring your fur babies. There is plenty of property for them to explore safely. Thanks as always, and we'll see you again next year

Almost camping cabin for our anniversary

The only criticism would be that the place needs brighter bulbs inside and out but other than that it was a great place to stay.

August 2023 Stay

We had a wonderful time it is a perfect cabin for 2 other than having a hard time finding it at first because of our gps and my sucky night vision it was a fabulous vacation and we enjoyed relaxing at the cabin and hopefully we will be able to rent it next year for our 29th anniversary.

Relaxing Getaway

This cabin was in a great location. It is central to both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The knives in the kitchen are dull, the cabin was mostly clean but you can clearly see cobwebs in all of the corners. The hot tub was nice when the weather cooled off. Overall we had a relaxing stay!

Very disappointed

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed there in years past and it was nice but now it's runned down.i have pics if needed.door has huge crack allows campfire smoke to come in and also bugs.shower has mold on outside of door.deck and porches covered with huge spider webs.picnic table stuffed under a huge overgrown pine tree which needs trimmed bad.also fireplace is grown up with grass .when they mow they never weed eat.cleaning was poorly done. Very unhappy with the cost of a week..

Perfect for us

Our family visits Pigeon Forge a couple times a year and always stay in a cabin. This is the first time we stayed in the cabin. Its very small and located inside a RV park. That was fine for us. If you are looking for cabin with views, this is not it. If you are looking for a cabin suitable for a small family (2-3) that is easily accessible with all the amenities, close to town, and reasonably priced. This is it. No complaints from us. We would stay here again.

Reviewer Comments: We had trouble finding the cabin, several lights inside cabin were not working,I changed the furnace filter because it was completely plugged,closet door missing, kitchen faucet broken,screens on porch door broken,Cobb webs in corners,hot tub cover needed replaced, entire cabin needed a good cleaning.

PLEASE READ

1. The directions to the house don’t lead you to the house and you have to follow the roads towards the end 2. The property manager was barely any help at all and didn’t answer most of my messages 3. One of the worst parts about this place is the smell. The dryer smells like mold which causes the whole house to smell like it. Don’t expect to wash your clothes. 4. Fire place did not work and I even asked the office for help and no one ever came to fix it. 5. House is WAY smaller than what the pictures give off. 6. The backyard view is all construction and trees. 7. Some of the photos that are used for this house are not the right house…I found them in another listing and the rooms in the photos do not match up. The pictures gave us a bigger expectation and we were disappointed. They need to update their photos and put photos of THE RIGHT HOUSE. 8. Barely any light near the front porch so it is mostly darkness which isn’t a good feeling while in the hot tub at night 9. Place was good for two people just way smaller than expected. I wouldn’t stay in this cabin for more than 5 days. Very tiny. 10. Place was dusty and had crumbs in the couch. Not very well cleaned.

Cabin getaway

Cute little cabin! Could use updating on linens it would’ve been nice to have extra pillows/blankets.. pretty basic kitchen utensils, in need of wine opener. Charles the maintenance guy was wonderful- Frances/April from management company are in need customers service training.

Worst rental expierance ever

Could not locate property -no where did it say it was in a camper campsite. No help from property manager. Had to pay for a hotel first night. Manger refused to refund first night stay- says he did not see where we called or emailed even after sending proof from phone records of time of call and emails sent for help. Cabin was very very very dusty and had cob webs everywhere. Coffee pot dirty and mold on shower. We only stayed in cabin one night. We lost 2 nights r/t poor management and unhealthy living condition. Manager would not return our calls even after we sent pic of what cabin looked liked. Asked for number of owner of cabin and it was never provider. Our view was of a bunch of campers. Hope they clean this cabin, fix the 24 hour help call system and put clearer direction in ad. Will never use this rental place again- Cove Mountain reservations.

Always a good time

Excellent Getaway

Perfect location

Overall the place was wonderful. Great location to places we wanted to visit. Attention to detail needs a little work, dusting and removing left behind pet hair.
