Encantadora casa frente al lago de mediados de siglo. Las salas de estar y el comedor tienen vistas al lago y vistas a las colinas de los alrededores. La cocina está totalmente equipada con lavavajillas, cafetera y horno tostador. 2 habitaciones cada una con un lavabo. Dos patios, uno con vista al lago y otro con césped sombreado, perfecto para croquet o bádminton. Estacionamiento en la propiedad. Patio trasero está cerrado. It was nice. We wanted to stay another day but did not know who or how to ask. No phone number.The dock padding is worn out. Metal staples were sticking out and damaged our boat.

re: beautiful and peaceful place

We truly enjoyed staying here. The lake is just outside the living room, and the view is stunning. We also liked the whole area, with its people and activities. The house was very well kept, and you could tell that the owners loved it and had taken care of it over the years. It felt like home to us.

The Place to Recharge

All that Rita's home offered exceeded our expectations. This is an originally built and family-loved home that provides the vacation home vibe that let's you exhale from the stress of life. The location on the lake was serene and allowed for a great chance to just chat about the day's wine adventures on the dock as the fish jumped, the dragonflies fed and the birds had their chance soar above the water. Rarely do I wax on about these sorts of things but the place just allows for it. After the first night we decided to BBQ instead of going to a local restaurant solely to enjoy the evening on the waterfront along with a few selections from the day. I can't speak highly enough of the home and I hope its available to me again sometime in the not-so-distant future.

Great lake house

We enjoyed our stay in this house. The backyard’s just incredible. This location is very convenient for fishing and it’s a very short drive to many wineries. We would definitely stay in this house again.

This little place is “lake life” for me

There’s something special about this place. It’s my second visit and it’s a perfect lake hangout. It’s small and simple, but tasteful and works great wonderfully. It was just me but it would work for a small family nicely or a couple of friends wanting to fish. Hoping to be back again!

Wrong time of year

Fun Fourth of July on Soda Bay

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a lakefront property in Kelseyville and I must say, it had everything I could have asked for. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the necessary appliances and cookware, making it easy to prepare meals during my stay. The air conditioning was fantastic, especially during the incredible heat wave during the Fourth of July week, keeping the entire house cool and comfortable. The beds were incredibly comfortable, providing a restful night's sleep after a day of exploring the beautiful surroundings. And speaking of beautiful surroundings, the view from the property was absolutely breathtaking. Waking up to the serene lake every morning was truly a treat. The sunsets at night were magical! The property owners were great to work with and very easy to communicate with. Friendly and prompt on all responses. Overall, I highly recommend this lakefront property in Kelseyville for anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway. It truly had all the amenities needed for a perfect vacation.

Very special house for a nostalgic visit

My husband's grandparents lived in Lakeport on Clearlake from the 50's to 70's and he has wanted to go back and spend time in the area. The Soda Bay Home was perfect. Communications with Rita were easy & timely. The house was immaculate and the history of it was fascinating. We've stayed in VRBO's all over the western states and this was the best equipped we've ever stayed in. Need a sheet pan for roasting potatoes; martini glasses for a little tipple, they are there; measuring items, coffee cups that aren't overly ginormous, pots, pans, etc. even paper plates for a picnic on the lake. I'm guessing there is still family entertainment that goes on here given the equipment and supplies! The lake view was wonderful and each morning we enjoyed our coffee at the picnic table while we watched ducks, geese, birds of all kinds, turtles, egrets, etc. And watching the boats, jets skis, etc. was really fun too. However far fewer than my husband remembers from his youth. The front yard also was relaxing and lovely to view from the kitchen window and while we didn't use it, the hammock looked very inviting. It appears that AC has been added in recent years so we were able to keep it cooler, however you do have to manage the late afternoon sun coming in over the lake. But then get ready for beautiful sunsets and enjoy this little oasis.

Nice Getaway Location

We enjoyed being right on the lake, especially as a "jumping off" point for kids and grandkids who live in the area. Comfortable small house, good WiFi, kitchen is well equipped, barbecue grill available. We enjoyed the location.

Charming!

Charming family home, complete with historical photos of the construction of the house and family memories. Our family of four really enjoyed our relaxing Christmas with a fire and board games. The 2 kayaks were a nice plus. Beautiful sunsets! Thanks for stocking the kitchen.

Vacation time

My wife and her sister and me.had a relaxing vacation. Soda bay is off the beaten track, with beautiful views of clear lake and the surrounding mountains. Lots of thermal activity in the bay, bubbly water in different areas. An island with small pools of thermal activity. Nice house with a dock for your boat. Bring a extension chord if you need to charge your batteries on the dock.

This home has been in our family since it was built in the 1950's. We have kept the feeling of a vacation cottage with the casual furnishings and tiled flooring. Many of the photos in the house show Soda Bay as it was in the 50's and 60's.
