Easy check in and check out. Kitchen is small but has absolutely everything you need. Location is perfect for hiking, kayaking, shopping and restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay.
Delightful cabin located near town and on the main route to Lake Placid. Extremely comfortable with a beautiful view. The cabin is beautifully restored while keeping the charm of it's era. And the host is outstanding!
Cabin is awesome, well appointed and comfortable. High ceiling makes it feel roomy even though it is small, and ingenious layout has separate spaces for everything, which is nice if you want to rise early to see sunrise but your partner wants to sleep in. I loved it so much. Really dark when I arrived—if the exterior light had been on when I got there and maybe one interior one, this would have been a flawless stay. Owner kindly helped me get sorted, but I felt bad bugging her so late. Would definitely stay again. Nice mixture of in-town with a lake view.
Adorable cabin with charm and comfort. Loved the retro red kitchen with new appliances, the comfy living space, and the rustic bedroom with warm pine paneling, and a high ceiling. The towels were super-soft and absorbent and the bed enveloped us like a warm hug, with quality sheets. Host was so helpful and pleasant to deal with, and knows the area. We would surely return!

About the host

I’m a local - a year round resident of Saranac Lake. My family has lived here for generations ever since they emigrated from Canada. I love the outdoors and I’m passionate about helping you love it, too!
Why they chose this property
This lakeside neighborhood is mostly local families with a couple of seasonal residents. I love being able to take my boat out on the 26-mile Saranac chain of lakes by just walking out my door!
What makes this property unique
The cabin is an authentic Adirondack 'guest cottage' built more than 100 years ago to house summertime guests from New York City. It's been newly updated but we've kept as much of the original charm as possible. It's a great mix of new and old!
