A very unique and special property - this estate is one of a handful of original Spanish Haciendas built in La Quinta during the 1930's.

Upon arrival, guests will be treated to a gated bricked courtyard, and charming plastered villa. Soothing sounds of rustling palm fronds and leaves emanate from towering, majestic palms and bountiful citrus trees, which lushly shade and perfume the grounds, providing immediate respite against the hot desert sun. The estate is walled and gated, making it a safe play haven for pets and children.

The residence boasts a colorful legacy of guests and private events and even served as the host location for the La Quinta Arts Foundation Home Tour. Beautifully maintained and cared for - this property exudes charm and artisan flavor throughout.

The property features a main house and a separate private casita. Within the main house, are two bedrooms with private baths. One bedroom is outfitted with a queen bed and two twin beds, allowing sleeping accommodations for 4, the other bedroom has a queen sized bed for two. The main house also has well appointed kitchen with breakfast bar and dining alcove, not to mention a full sized dining room should one desire a more formal eating arrangement.

The casita has a private bedroom with a queen bed, and a main living area with a queen pull out sofa. The casita has it's own full bath and kitchen. The property allows multi-generational families or couples enjoying a vacation together, to have the rare luxury of preparing meals communally, or cooking privately, keeping harmony with individual preferences and schedules.

Visitors will be equally as pleased with the beautiful salt water pool, complete with Jacuzzi and swim up beach. The surrounding patio provides for many sunbathing options, and also gives those who prefer some shade, the ability to laze the day away in a comfortable hammock, hung amidst the mature orange trees that border the pool area. A grill master's dream awaits in a large outdoor palapa by the pool. The full outdoor kitchen boasts a gas grill, sink, bar counter with seating for six, as well as a huge covered dining area that will easily accommodate 20. Next to the stage is a large gas fire pit, made for roasting marshmallows under the starlight, or for delighting guests with warm ambient firelight while keeping any chill at bay. The lush lawn and tropical flower beds throughout the property lend a tropical oasis feeling in contrast to the surrounding bright, sunny desert.

Great home for couples

We were a group of three couples, in La Quinta for Desert Trip. The home has incredible character, with a great attention to details in the decorating and outdoor spaces. The back yard pool, palapa, grassy area is peaceful and lovely. Three bed/bath configuration worked great for us. Location for local restaurants, liquor store, etc.. is awesome. 10 minute drive to Coachella is even better - straight shot down Avenue 52! Todd is a great owner/operator. Highly recommend. This is not the standard sterile desert house with marbled everything built in the housing booms on a golf course (so if that's what you want, this is not the house). What this house represents is a home built in another era of desert trips by Angelenos, that has been maintained and updated appropriately, in a location that cannot be better for wanting to be away from the tourists and in a haven of tranquility.

Todd was a superb host. The home is beautifully restored, all appliances are of the highest standards. Main House Guest Bedrooms are very large, beautifully appointed and walk in closets. Amazing Pool and Spa. Outdoor Kitchen area (with BBQ) and huge outdoor Dining Area with fascinating lighting were a real attraction as was the Garden Fire Pit. The Guest House was very large and beautifully appointed.

The home was immaculate and as advertised. Zero complaints. Small touches such as the Sonos Sound System were great.

Pool and Garden Maintenance was twice weekly, everything was beautiful and extremely well maintained. Large Indoor Dining Room and everything one could possibly want to host and elegant dinner party to just relaxing at the pool or to the extensive gardens. Full garaging and everything maintained to the highest standards.

Amazing Vacation Home

Our recent stay at this slice of paradise in the desert would rank at the very top of anyplace we have stayed. We never wanted to leave the house and yard. Our family enjoyed the wonderful pool and yard daily and though we went off for a hike in Palm Canyon one day , we could not wait to return to our home as it truly was the best part of our trip. Everything we wanted or needed was on site. The owner Todd has poured his heart and soul into this place and it is full of personality and is extremely special. We will go here hopefully twice a year but at least once for sure as it is our new desert destination. La Rue restaurant nearby is great and I cannot recommend this property high enough.

There will not be a picture or a word to describe the exceptional property and all the decor. Absolutely every inch of this place is accommodating and gorgeous. The location is perfect and there is room to entertain so many, so well. You will not believe it until you see it and I'm definitely booking it again!
