We absolutely loved the Cactus Retreat! Everything was beautiful and clean. The kids loved the pool even though it was a little chilly it never stopped them. They really thought of everything for the house that was needed. We loved the welcome basket that was made for us on arrival day. The game room even had the adults playing. The host is great with getting back to us if we have any questions about the house. There is plenty to do there if you feel like staying it but if you decide to adventure out, we found so many trails to hike “kid friendly”. Love all the beds for extra guest. There were 4 adults and 3 kids and we had a great stay. Would definitely be back again. Thank you!

Host maintained contact before and during stay, ensuring no issues were encountered. There are games both in the game room and out in the yard, providing many options for everyone. Rooms well furnished. Outdoor spaces provided many gathering areas. Grill was big enough to cook for a large group. Hot tub and gas fire ring allowed outdoor gatherings in spite the cool Feb evenings. Short drive to pick up groceries. Located in walkable, quiet neighborhood. We would rent again for a future return trip.

Property was nice but the host filed a false insurance claim to get money, luckily we had photos and a check out video. We were barely there due to a soccer tournament with multiple teams, unfortunately we wanted to go back and the host left a horrible taste in our mouth. Never wrote a bad review but this needed to be stated, also watch out as they get you to purchase a secondary insurance outside of the vrbo even if you already have the insurance otherwise they will cancel your reservation. Thought it was a hiccup or a mistake but now seeing the final result and the fact that they tried to send a claim for thousands of dollars I understand why they were doing it. Be careful.

The claim was independently reviewed and approved by CSA Travel Protection, a third-party provider, based on documented post-stay conditions confirmed by our professional cleaning team. Additionally, our house rules require advance approval for pets. In this case, an unregistered dog was brought onto the property, which was documented and included as part of the claim review due to excessive cleaning fees and damages. As hosts, we follow established processes and apply policies consistently to maintain the home for all guests. We remain committed to providing a well-maintained property and a transparent, professional experience.
