Amazing place. We seen whales from the deck everyday. It’s very clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped. Great experience and I definitely recommend.
Superbly located on a beautiful stone beach on the southeastern part of Quadra Island, this charming, spacious, and cozy house features a great veranda overlooking the ocean and neighbouring Cortes Island. The well-equipped kitchen, beautiful garden, and private setting made it an ideal retreat for our always busy family. We felt at home. Shops and a couple of local restaurants were just a five-minute drive away. Right in front of the house, there was a quite unique tidal pool where you can spot crabs and starfish during low tide. Swimming is possible in the sea, but water shoes are recommended. There's also a deer family that regularly visits the garden. The check-in went smoothly. Host Hilary makes sure you feel at ease right away and is happy to point you to Quadra's hidden gems

Thank you for the lovely review - We're so glad you enjoyed the gorgeous BC nature on Quadra around the home. You are welcome in the home to come back any time :-)
We had the most amazing time!!! Driftwood Harbour exceeded expectations! The house was amazing. I loved the experience of opening the front door and all you see is ocean through the windows. We spent so much time on the deck and combing the beach for cool rocks and driftwood. And there is an amazing tide pool right in front of the house that we enjoyed along with the blue heron’s! There were also lots of little touches that made the house extra special like a lovely basket of treats (including a delicious bottle of wine) and blankets that we used as we stood on the deck at sunrise to watch the whales!!!!)I also loved how tucked away the house was but so convenient to get to/from the ferry and Heriot Bay is really close.Hilary took SUCH good care of us - she was the cherry on top of this amazing experience. We didn’t want to leave and I know we will be back.

Hilary, Joel’s mother, lives on the property in a separate cottage, and is the main caretaker. You can reach Hilary by phone during your stay.
