Amazing host! Had a minor issue and reached out and he was over to fix it within 10 minutes. I ended up leaving a pair of shorts and he was kind enough to mail it back to me! 10/10 experience!!!

Our experience at this property was disappointing from the moment we arrived until the day we left.The problems began before we even entered the house. Upon arrival, we were unable to access the property and contacted the owner for assistance. His initial response was that he did not have anyone scheduled to stay there. After we explained that we had a confirmed seven-day reservation, he realized his mistake and came to the property.During that visit, he performed a brief walkthrough and assured us that everything was in order. It was not.The house was noticeably dirty upon arrival. The entire property carried a persistent odor of mildew, mold, and neglect. The smell was strong enough that we ultimately purchased air fresheners and candles simply to make the home tolerable. Even the water had an unpleasant odor, and clothing washed in the washing machine came out smelling worse than when they went in.

When we checked in, we immediately noticed a very strong odor throughout the home. The smell was overwhelming, even though a window had been left open. There were also plug in air fresheners in most rooms, which seemed to be an attempt to mask the odor. This led me to believe the owner may have been aware of the issue. I believe it may have been pet odor, but I can't say for sure. Unfortunately, it was so strong that we were unable to spend time in the home.The house also did not appear to have been cleaned thoroughly. The sheets on two of the three beds were dirty and had to be washed the night we arrived. Several surfaces felt grimy, and we had to wipe down the kitchen cabinet handles as well as the Nest thermostat.I do not typically leave negative reviews, but the odor was truly unbearable. I hope the host is able to address the issue and have the home properly cleaned. Overall, the house would benefit from a thorough deep cleaning.

Our cleaning team follows a thorough turnover checklist, and we are reviewing this with them to ensure standards are consistently upheld. However, we do want to note that cleanliness concerns were never communicated to us during your 4-day stay. Had you reached out, we would have been happy to arrange an immediate resolution whether a re-clean, fresh linens, or any other remedy. As hosts, we are only able to address issues we are made aware of in real time. We also want to note that our house rules require prior approval and an additional fee for any guests beyond the booking. This policy was not followed during your stay, which is something we take seriously. We appreciate you taking the time to leave feedback, and we hope future guests will continue to reach out to us directly so any concerns can be resolved promptly during their stay.
