Welcome to the historic Fish Inn Bike Inn, Sister vacation rental home, LOCATED IN THE HEART of Sisters Oregon. Originally built in 1935 as a residence for the Sisters Forest Service, the Inn has been lovingly restored into a vintage 1930’s cottage with modern amenities. The Inn is located on a quiet corner within walking distance of most every place in town. Whether you’re visiting Sisters to enjoy the great outdoors, or one of our many art and music festivals, to relish our great restaurants or simply to enjoy stepping back in time into a small town pace, the Fish Inn Bike Inn will make you feel right at home. Inside and out, the Inn is the most charming vacation cottage and private garden in town.
Come and enjoy our proximity to endless activities, or simply relax and renew yourself with a good book. Everyone will find their kind of fun right here in the hospitable town of Sisters.
The Inn will sleep up to six people and has 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths. On the main floor is the south facing living room, dining room and fully outfitted kitchen as well as a full bath and 2 bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with a full brass bed. Upstairs is a cozy, wood paneled bedroom with a queen bed. Downstairs is a family room with a large, flat screen TV, a card room, study, bathroom and laundry.
Outside is a sunny, furnished patio with a barbeque and the beautifully landscaped garden. The “barn” out back is a 2 car garage to store all your gear safely. There is also plenty of off street parking. If you dream of just parking your car for the length of your vacation, the Inn provides 2 vintage cruiser bikes for riding around town.
The Fish Inn Bike Inn was moved to its current location in 2007 and lovingly restored to become a home that preserves the quality and charm of days gone by, as well as introducing modern features to make your stay easy. It is the 2013 DeMuro Award winner from the Restore Oregon for Excellence in Preservation, Reuse and Community Revitalization. It is authentically furnished in the styling of the 1930’s with original oak and fir hardwood floors, a working fireplace, antiques, Pendleton bedding and down pillows, which combines old fashioned vintage with the modern conveniences you want like air conditioning, 2 flat screen TV’s and WiFi connection and great water pressure.
Best of all is our location!
Walk throughout Sisters to explore art galleries, shopping, local coffee shops, brew pubs and fine dining and specialty wines. Close by is The Belfry. Five Pine Lodge, Sisters Athletic Club, Shibui Spa and the Sisters Movie House, where they show the latest films. The Inn is one block from Sister’s Village Green Park and three blocks to Creekside City Park, both homes to art and music festivals, community events and kids play areas. The Peterson Ridge Trail System is right out the door for hiking, running and mountain bike riding. Cascade mountain high lakes and meadows surround Sisters just a short drive away. Come witness the returning fish runs to restored Whychus Creek.
Further afield is the Pacific Crest Trail, Deschutes National Forest, Mt. Jefferson Wilderness, Three Sisters Wilderness, Smith Rocks, Mt. Bachelor, Hoodoo, Black Butte Ranch and Suttle Lake for Pacific Northwest forest splendor.
Road bike riders will find the Inn to be a perfect, central location for five Central Oregon State Scenic Bikeways, a total of 164 miles of officially exceptional riding! Take in the McKenzie Pass Scenic Bikeway, Metolius Loops Scenic Bikeway, Madras Mountain Views Scenic Bikeway, Sisters to Smith Rock Scenic Bikeway and the Twin Bridges Scenic Bikeway that connects rural Tumalo to urban Bend.
Fish our famous water, from nearby high mountain lakes to the distinctive Metolious River, Deschutes River and Crooked River. Drifting and rafting trips can be booked in Sisters, too.
