About this property

Private Dock, Private Beach Access, Single Level Cottage ~ Camp Palms

Looking for a place with the best of both worlds,Old Florida feel but not necessarily the Old Florida house? Look no further because you have found that place. A small section on Indian Pass, Camp Palms is where the original settlers of Indian Pass built their homes upon a ridge that allows both Gulf and Lagoon views. This great 2 bedroom 2 bath house sits all one level with a large screen porch overlooking the unique Indian Pass Lagoon. Try your luck fishing and cleaning your catch from the private dock. Better yet launch your kayaks or paddle boards from the dock step down and go explore the Lagoon. When you're ready to go to the beach just take a short walk down the driveway and over Indian Pass Rd to your private access to the beach for pedestrians and permitted vehicles alike. There you'll experience wide open beaches with plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the Gulf. No matter your pleasure you'll be able to relax comfortably at Camp Palms @ Indian Pass.

Floor Plan: Ground Floor - Outside - open parking area, outdoor shower, lagoon dock with fish cleaning station, covered seating, and kayak/paddle board launch. Inside - Great-room with living area, TV, DVD, sleeper sofa, kitchen, eat-in bar, dining, and access to the screen porch. Screen Porch - dining, seating, fans, lagoon view; Bedroom 1 - queen bed, TV, private full bath with tub/shower Jacuzzi; Bedroom 2 - queen bed, TV; Bath 2 - full bath with walk-in shower (handicap friendly).

Nice location, property needs a little work
Overall we had a nice vacation. Check in took about 20-30 minutes as the code didn't work on the door and we had to call out of hours support with Pristine Properties. But once we got through to them (after a long wait), they were able to resolve the issue. The house is a little dated, had a musty smell and some things were not very clean on arrival compared to other properties we have stayed in (e.g. the fridge wasn't very clean). We also had a workman at the property working on the decking outside for 2 days which was noisy and an inconvenience. The house is okay and it's nice to have the dock out the back. But the house could do with a little work. The sliding door was very difficult to move. Our kids couldn't get in and out on their own without assistance. The spring and latches on the screen door were broken. The decking on the kayak launch at the dock is broken and needs to be fixed. The mattresses on the beds are worn and not the most comfortable. Minor things, but with the issues we had getting in and the work/noise that we had to put up with they contribute to me not being able to give a higher review score (every other review i've submitted on VRBO has been 5*s) Overall, i'd stay in this area again (it's lovely and very relaxing) but i'll try to find a different property next time. Most of the issues were minor and could be fixed easily with a little effort. If it hadn't been for the access issues and the workman i'd have probably rated 4*.

Great location
House is in a great spot on Indian Pass, the view of the Lagoon was awesome! The walk to the beach was very short, and easily manageable with our stuff. House is well appointed and was clean on our arrival. I was very impressed with the management company Pristine Properties, kept us up to date and very responsive to the one problem we had. Don’t miss out on Indian Pass Raw Bar, worth the wait! Cons: - the beds were very uncomfortable - the front door lock, please change that thing out! Spent way too much time getting in and out - not dog friendly- I realize some may view this as a positive Overall I felt it was a great place and worth the price we paid

View of the bay
Great views of the bay and gulf. Small but friendly town. Very relaxing! Make sure to bring your own paper products, trash bags, and dishwashing and laundry detergents. House only came with 1 roll of TP per bathroom, 1 roll of paper towels, 1 kitchen trash bag, and 1 use of laundry and dishwashing detergent for a week long stay with 4 adults.
