We loved our stay at the cabin. Perfect amount of space for our family of 4. We enjoyed exploring the property and playing on the screened in porch. Short drive to Chimney Rock.
Classic NC mountain cabin on a huge beautiful property. There were trails, a gorgeous wild flower meadow and ponds on site. The home was fully stocked and we felt right at home. Very close to Chimney Rock town and only about 30 mins to Black Mountain and to Asheville

Amazing Stay!
By far the most accommodating and clean house I’ve stayed at. The host was very communicative and friendly. He kept in touch and made sure that everything was smooth throughout our trip. Everything we needed was already provided. I will make sure to rent this house again next time we visit Black Mountain.
We had a great time at the cabin on our trip to Asheville and its surroundings to see the beautiful fall.
It was cozy and perfect for family of 4.
Clean and well equipped had everything we needed and more.
Close to Chimney Rock state park, Lake Lure, orchards and vineyards, Asheville and Blue Ridge Parkway made it easy to explore.
Thank you for hosting us!
Violet,
Great communication with Edward, communication with evolve was just average. Place was quiet, very wooded, nice getaway weekend. Very unreliable internet service

Beautiful meadow on the mountain!
What can I say? This cabin was great. It was warm and cozy. Very comfortable and homelike. Everything you need for a getaway. We loved the space and privacy this property gives. Coming from a city it’s a definite break from the noise. It fit our family comfortably. The scenery was superb and the local attractions are breathtaking. Our host Ed was more than accommodating. If we are ever in this area again we would definitely stay here !!
All I need to say is what a great cabin with an authentic "cabin in the woods experience". But, I will say more. Ed, the owner, was fantastic in making sure our arrival was as smooth as possible and the place was impeccably clean. We thoroughly enjoyed the trails around the woods and several ponds. Evening cooks over the open campfire followed by roasting marshmallows and a glass of wine left for us upon our arrival. The interior was cozy yet with plenty of room for a family of four with a good-sized lab. Only about 15 minutes from Chimney Rock and its spectacular views and trails.
It was a lovely cabin! Clean, etc. Our only issue was it said AC on the listing. The host called to let me know that he had not out the window units in yet. He mentioned taking some off the cost, but he did not. We couldn’t open all the windows for a Crossbreeze because there were no screens in several of the windows. There was a fan, but that doesn’t really help when the whole house is very toasty. I would completely go back if there was ac AC or if it was in the winter. 😀
This gorgeous cabin sits secluded away from other properties and surrounded by mountain woods. The creepy vibe on the outside is accompanied by an updated interior. Cozy yet very spacious for families and pets. The views on the drive to and from the cabin are amazing in the fall. The multi-acre property itself offers great views on nature walks with two ponds and wooded mountain side. We didn’t get to see any bears, but there was plenty of evidence of them left behind. Great mountain getaway and we look forward to returning to it.
Stayed here with my family for a long weekend and had a wonderful stay. The cabin was very clean and is fully stocked. We didn’t cook much outside of breakfast but if we had, it would have felt like we were back at home. The screened in porch is great to sit out bug free and the yard offered a nice space for our dogs to run around without us worrying they’d drop off the mountain. The owner is very pleasant and offered lots of helpful information. We hope to stay here again.
It was so peaceful and quiet, cabin was clean. Ed was so nice and called the day before to tell us a few things, even texted after we were there to make sure everything was ok. Enjoyed the s’mores and wine left on the counter.
We had an absolutely amazing time staying in this cabin! It had everything we needed, the layout was perfect, and it was nicely updated. The owner's plans to finish the basement will make it even more perfect! We enjoyed the privacy and the land to explore, the central location in the mountains, and the fire pit. The complimentary popcorn, smores fixings, and wine were such a great touch. Communication with the owner was top notch. Would definitely stay here again, and highly recommend it!
Our family just had a wonderful weekend stay at the Bat Cave. We really wanted to get away from it all and this was exactly the right place to do it. The homeowner reached out to me the night before with some helpful hints on arrival and access and suggested some great hiking spots. There is not a grocery store "near by" which we had researched, but it was nice that Ed confirmed that in our conversation. The grounds are beautiful with many trails to explore and a small pond on property. Fully stocked kitchen with lots of cooking equipment. Definitely would recommend.
Felt at home the minute we opened the door. Beautiful, secluded, peaceful and also close to shops and restaurants too. The owner was very easy to communicate with and easy to reach. Will definitely want to come back soon.
The owner was very friendly and did a great job with communicating with me prior to the trip. The place was very clean and very comfortable. Small things like having the firepit setup with some firewood, having chocolate, graham crackers & marshmallows on the counter for smores , made the experience extra special. Would definitely recommend.
The cabin was spotless and beautifully decorated. The owner shared helpful info about not only the cabin but surrounding are. We loved our welcome gift of wine, supplies for s’mores and farm grown eggs! We would highly recommend staying here. The cabin was very nice and the owner very easy to communicate with! We didn’t want to leave this cozy retreat
