Bucolic and chic— Take in all Nelson County’s Rockfish River Valley and “Brew Ridge Trail” (Rt. 151) have to offer in this stylish, new house nestled at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains amid a quiet, 5-acre meadow with 180-degree mountain views.
This is a new house (just built in 2025), freshly furnished and stocked with brand new appliances and kitchen ware. It features one primary bedroom with a private bath and walk-in closet, two other bedrooms that share a full bathroom, and a powder room/half-bath just off from the large kitchen and great room. All bedrooms feature beautiful views of the surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains. From the great room and the back deck you can see the Humpback Rocks, a popular local hiking destination. The interiors are professionally designed by KPH Studio.
The house is approximately one mile from Rt. 151 and is within 5 miles of at least three different breweries, 5 wineries, and a distillery. Wintergreen resort is within a 20 minute drive and Charlottesville and the University of Virginia are an easy 30 minute drive away. Many great hikes are also close by including the longest waterfall in Virginia (Crabtree Falls, ~40 minute drive) and the aforementioned Humpback Rocks (~20 minute drive).
Spend your days enjoying everything the surrounding area has to offer and wind down in the evening amid stellar sunsets, singing sparrows, croaking spring peepers in the nearby pond, and herd of deer grazing in the meadow.

Chris was very accommodating and helpful during our stay in Afton. The house was exactly as listed and we really enjoyed our stay. The house was fully stocked and had everything we needed!
The home was beautifully furnished; the kitchen was well-stocked with cleaning supplies, Tupperware, basic spices, oils, plenty of dishes and cookware; the bathrooms had wonderful toiletries; the beds were comfortable; and the location was absolutely stunning!

Kitchen very user friendly with high end appliances. Layout of the house was awesome with very large spaces. House was new, modern and clean. Location was close to everything we wanted to see and do, ie. breweries, wineries, etc. Host was quick to respond to any questions/concerns that we surfaced.

What makes this property unique
Our house is newly built by one of the best home builders in central Virginia and designed by my wife, who has been doing interior design for Washington D.C.’s elite for the past 30+ years.
When looking for a vacation home, we were drawn to Nelson County’s beautiful scenery, agri-economy, and proximity to our college-aged kids. Now that our home is complete, we’re happy to share it with visitors such as you.
