Large Craftsman Style Studio Set Against The Magnificent Swan Mountains.
About Lisa Gilbert
Originally from Southern California, we moved to this 20 acre property to create a quiet self sufficient and sustainable life for our small family. We are raising goats, chickens, livestock guardian dogs, and organic fruits and veggies.
Lisa Gilbert purchased this Chateau / Country House in 2011
Why Lisa Gilbert chose Bigfork
This property is incredibly special and uniquely showcases the majestic qualities of each season. We love the variety of wildlife traversing the land, including deer, elk, moose, foxes, bobcat, raccoon, squirrels, bald eagles, ducks, geese, hawks, herons, owls and many other birds, most notably the wild swan. White Tail Deer tend to be the most common but are the most lovely and peaceful sighting. Occasionally, bear, wolf, and mountain lion are seen but our big guardian dogs keep these larger predators off our property.
What makes this Chateau / Country House unique
We fell in love with this beautiful private property, the wilderness setting, and its unique craftsman style structures, and you will too!

We stayed 3 nights at the treehouse. During the day we ventured to Glacier National Park, and at night slept peacefully in the treehouse. From gorgeous views while sipping morning coffee to an insanely wonderful steam shower ..... everything was perfect. Thank you!
Wonderful weekend getaway
Very quiet and private! Came for Labor Day weekend and had everything that I needed for a relaxing hiking weekend. Kitchen was well stocked, the bed is extremely comfortable and the shower is spa like. Would definitely book again!
The property is beautifully constructed with great mountain views. The host family was also very warm and welcoming. Overall, our stay was excellent!
Perfect all around!
Everything about the house was perfect. Extremely clean and well maintained, comfortable, beautiful (inside and out), well stocked kitchen, and a wonderful setting. It was a great base for our day trips, but would have been perfect for staying on property and enjoying what the immediate area offers. We are already talking about a winter trip as well.
Thank you so much for your nice review! We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay and would love to have you in the winter or any time again! Please let me know when you book that you are a returning guest so we may offer you a discount on your next stay! Thanks again for staying at the Treehouse!
Extremely great experience. Home was a treasure and a perfect jumping off point for our Glacier Park adventures. Killer views with some hiking behind the house.
Loved our stay!!
We took our 2 kids and loved staying at the treehouse. Great experience and we will definitely be back.
