Hi Amy, I’m very sorry for the disruption to your trip. For transparency: I listed the home in anticipation of closing on the purchase. The closing date was unexpectedly delayed, which meant I did not yet have legal possession of the property for your dates. I should have proactively canceled as soon as the delay occurred; instead, I didn’t get Vrbo’s alert until the day of arrival and that’s on me. We now fully own and manage the cabin, and we’ve put safeguards in place so this never happens again: the calendar stays blocked until we have keys in hand, we double-confirm reservations 7 days and 24 hours before arrival, and we’ve added additional Vrbo notifications and manual checks. I understand how stressful last-minute changes are and I’m truly sorry for the inconvenience. If you’d consider giving us another chance, please message us through Vrbo and I’ll extend a returning-guest discount.
