Great stay in Gulfport!

We spent the last week of January at Bay Side Dream exploring Gulfport. The home is very comfortable, located in a quiet neighborhood and walking distance to everything. Debra, the owner, was a wonderful host and is now our realtor helping find a vacation home for us!

PERFECT PERFECT PERFECT!!!

From the spacious, comfortable living room to the peaceful screened in porch and backyard, our stay was wonderful! Debra went out of her way to make sure everything was just right for us. The kitchen and dining room suited our needs perfectly, making our holiday dinner feel as though we were in our own home. Beds were very comfortable and plenty of soft towels. The location to "downtown" Gulfport was great, close enough to walk, and the central location to the local beach and parks was spot on! Thank you Debra for sharing your home with us! We are already planning another getaway to Gulfport now that we have the PERFECT PLACE TO STAY!!

Girls weekend/family visit

My 4 adult daughters and I had a great stay! The kitchen had everything we could possibly need, the gas grill was easy to use, the house was clean and the location was convenient. Plenty of supplies and soft towels, beach chairs and coolers. We walked up to Stella’s for brunch, the Drunken Taco for Margaritas and O’Maddy’s for grouper bites. Debra was a delightful host who had flowers ready for my daughter’s birthday! She is on property but gave us complete privacy. She also had some fantastic suggestions for entertainment and jet ski rentals. The beaches were a close drive- we went to Fort de Doto beach and Pass-a-Grille beach which were both about 10-15 minute drive.

All around Amazing

What a nice spot we found! First of all Gulfport is a quaint little town, with a beautiful downtown full of friendly people, restaurants and shops. It's a really great town for walking. There are plenty of well maintained sidewalks, and all the beautiful homes and landscaping is an attraction of it's own. This house is minutes walk to downtown and 10-15 minute drive to St. Pete, or St. Pete Beach. 30 mins to Tampa or Clearwater. The house was perfect! This is how an Air BNB should be. This is not one of those homes a corporation threw together to make a buck, with blank walls, empty spaces, and missing things you need to stay in a house. This place is clean ,tastefully decorated, and contains all the things you need. There is a lot of space for the money too. The kitchen has all the appliances, and cookware you need. There is plenty of room to stretch out in the spacious living room. The bedrooms and living room have TVs, cable, and Roku. There is also a Bluetooth speaker in the living room for music. There is a nice screen room in the back, back patio sitting area, and a spot out front with seating and a table. Debra was an amazing host, she knows all the great spots, not just in Gulfport, but surrounding areas, and there to answer any questions you have. Don't pass this place up!

The best relaxing vacation home!!

We enjoyed our stay so much and will definitely be back! Perfect, comfy house felt like home supplied with everything we needed from linens and towels (beach towels and chairs too) to a kitchen supplied with all the necessities. The lanai was perfect and our most favorite place to relax in the morning with coffee and at night with a glass of wine and great conversations! Within walking distance to the beautiful unique artsy district of downtown Gulfport with little boutiques, art gallery, coffee places, great variety of restaurants that have live bands at night and fabulous food. They even have a farmers market on Tuesday’s with a huge variety of vendors! Oh and the people here are so friendly! Close drive to St Pete’s Beach, Treasure Island, John’s Pass. Best of all our host Debra is absolutely wonderful and very knowledgeable about the area, she’s available thru a quick text if we had any questions and can recommend restaurant’s etc. My daughter and I are looking forward to another stay in the future and can hardly wait to book our next vacation!!! I highly recommend…THE BEST❤️

Best Rental Experience

There were a lot of extras provided by the host that after a long trip meant the world - fresh linens on extremely comfortable mattresses, clean pretty quilts, hotel type towels, and huge back up supply in a closet, a variety of coffees, creamers, bottled water, and all your kitchen supplies in a spacious kitchen. The house is very clean with an artistic unique interior design and relaxing comfy leather couches/recliner in a big entertainment room. Other much appreciated features are strong water pressure in the shower, smart TVs and fans in each room, access to a stocked laundry room, screened in porch and a front naturistic area to have coffee and spot a few cute lizards. The house host/property owner is quick to respond to any questions or needs. You will consider yourself very lucky to have her knowledge of great recommendations in Gulfport and the neighboring beach towns. It was like having your own travel agent a text away the whole vacation. Definitely one of our best memorable trips.

Owner lives there

This VRBO ruined my attendance at a birthday celebration for my niece and nephew. They spent their birthday alone without any family or friends. I was unable to travel to see them. The owner stays on the property. The owner did not disclose this until right before my check in when owner revealed she’d be there at check-in. (Contactless check-in is advertised) There is a shared AC system and laundry space. When finally disclosing she lived on site she stated “it’s like I’m not there at all unless you hear my TV and cat mewing”. During a pandemic, a shared AC system is not safe. Also the lack of privacy isn’t clearly stated in the description and a pet on site isn’t clearly stated. I asked for a refund and was denied by the owner. I canceled my stay, and was chastised via text message at how I had cost her money, although I was refunded none. VRBO escalated my case but I’ve not been refunded as of today. Please be aware you are sharing a home with this person and make sure her poor customer service, poor disclosures and property description are satisfactory for your stay.

Excellent place

My family and I loved our stay here! Debra was very helpful and I really enjoyed all her restaurant recommendations. We had a great time in downtown Gulfport and really enjoyed the fact that we weren’t far from the beach or Tampa.

We throughly enjoyed our stay here. Debra was a wonderful host! She was available for any questions about the property and the area, including but not limited to, restaurants and activities. We've stayed at a number of B&B's and Vacation rentals and this was by far the best equipped kitchen that we have ever encountered. We highly recommend this property, but also this awesome owner.

Clean, comfy and convenient

What a great find! This very clean and comfy house is a short and pleasant walk to charming Gulfport, with its quaint and quirky restaurants, shops and waterfront, and also to a dog park and pickle ball courts. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped, and the sofa / TV set up is fine for rainy afternoons and after dinner movies. The owner lives in the other side of the house, but you won’t see her unless you have a question. She responds to texts very quickly and has lots of good info about local events and things to do.

Newly renovated house, near ALL, with the old Florida charm!, live like a local!!

My family and I stayed for christmas and new years and what a blessing it was. My wife and son never were so upset to leave a vacation before. The property is so well kept, everything you will need. It's in a superb location. 10 minutes to famous St. Pete beach, 10 minutes to Downtown St. Pete, 20 minutes to Johns Pass Madiera Beach, 30 minutes to famous Clearwater Beach, 45 minutes to Busch Gardens and Zoo Tampa at Lowry Park. 90 minutes to Orlando to Disney, Sea World, and all others. So many local things to do too. 15 minutes to the Sunken Gardens botanical Gardens, 10 minutes to beautiful Boyd Hill Nature Preserve where we saw a wild alligator taking a sun bathe. My son loved catching lizards everyday in the backyard it was so hard to get him ready to go out for activities lol. Beautiful landscaped property. So much tropical foliage like a huge bamboo tree, sausage tree, spanish moss tree, many palm trees, and so much more. Way too much to mention. Gulfport is such a unique town. The home is so close the the bay where you can dine, shop, fish, sunbathe. Its such an artsy town and so beautiful. They have a Tuesday market that was amazing. Also one in downtown St. Pete that was out of this world. Both have many vendors with fresh fruits, veggies, dairy, plenty of art for sale as well. The properties in Gulfport are so well kept and TRULY exemplifies the old Florida charm!!!! The house is very big and FULLY equipped!! Would recommend it to ANY family. Debra was the BEST host we ever had. You will have ZERO issues.

The best stay in Gulfport!

This property was a dream come true and Debra is a wonderful host. The home is a just-right distance from downtown historical Gulfport. There wad plenty of room, with comfortable bedrooms, a large kitchen and dining room. The reason I chose this home was because of the enclosed back porch and I was not disappointed - the porch provided the perfect morning g coffee and afternoon wine-sipping room. Debra was always available when needed and is a delight to know.Thank you, Debra.

Wonderful place to stay!

I enjoyed this property a lot! It's centrally located in Gulfport and it's near downtown and easy access to shopping. I really loved the home. It's clean, inviting and very comfortable. You are provided everything you need expect for your food. The kitchen is well equipped and you will not be lacking for anything there. I adore Debra and found her to be funny, kind and willing to accommodate us during the stay to make sure we were comfortable. I am fortunate to have found her and that she's has a pet friendly property with a fenced yard. Would definitely recommend staying here. When you're away from home it's wonderful to be able to stay in a place that makes you feel like you're at home.

Pleasant, roomy, quiet

Would stay there again and again. Very pleasant surroundings, plenty of room , well stocked house, and friendly owner available if needed. We did not need anything, however. Was pleased to have the previous tenants leftover coffee and filters as well as many condiments, made settling in less of a chore. Thank you Debra !

Cute bungalow in Gulfport

We had a fantastic stay here in April! We were in town for the NASA swim meet at the North Shore Aquatic Complex, the property was about 15 min from there. My oldest daughter and husband went golfing at Twin Brooks several times and really enjoyed the 9 hole, par three course. The course is well kept with nice greens and perfect for all ages. Gulfport is an eclectic town with a cute downtown full of little shops and places to eat. St. Pete's Beach is an easy drive and my kids loved not only the beach but parasailing with Suncoast Watersports. They were professional and a great company. This property was centrally located to all of it and is very well kept up. Debra is fantastic and very knowledgeable about the area. She has thought of everything in the home and out. The beds are very comfortable and the living space well appointed. We would definitely stay here again if we are back in the area. Thanks Debra for a fantastic vacation!!

A Great Stay in a Fun Location

We spent a beautiful week in the Bayside Dream in March. It was a prefect location for us since we wanted to visit both the downtown area and the beaches. Not to mention the six seafood markets located within a few miles of the house. Debra was a gracious host who provided anything we needed, and she was always ready to share her valuable information on places to eat, drink, see, and be seen. The house was very clean on arrival, everything was in working order, and the kitchen was well equipped. The screened-in back porch was so relaxing in the evenings, and we also used the backyard barbecue one night as well. We would definitely consider a return visit to Debra's place, and would recommend it highly.

Little oasis in Gulport!

We were very well received by our home owner Debra who was helpful in providing us with a variety tips to make our stay a memorable one. The home has two fair size bedrooms and open concept living room space and kitchen with all the required amenities. The home is close to a number of beaches (10 minute drive) with our favorite being Fort De Soto Park (North Beach) with its white sands (we actually encountered a number of dolphins on the first day!). We strongly recommend this property for a group of up to 4 people. Thanks Debra for a great march break vacation in Florida.

Quiet and peaceful

This home was well maintained and had everything we needed for our stay. The owner even had boogy boards for our kids to use at the beach. Close to many beach options, restaurants and activities. Debra and Melissa were there to welcome us and were very friendly and accommodating. We definitely would stay here again when we are in the Gulfport area.
