We loved staying at this property for our hockey tournament in Winthrop. Plenty of space for our group and enjoyed cooking in the kitchen, the woodstove and hanging out in the large living room space. Also love the access to the river. Thanks for having us and we plan on returning next year!

We had a great family vacation. The cabin is close to the river and we enjoyed watching the wildlife. Winthrop is a great area for an outdoors vacation. The pool table was a big hit with all the family.

This is a great location and nice property. We loved the location. The property yard is mostly native forest between the house and the river which is very appealing to us. One thing that surprised us was that there is a second cottage that is also rented on the same lot and very close to the house. It was no problem as the other guests were very quiet and respectful. There was ample parking for trucks and cars. I did find that kitchen counters needed additional cleaning when we arrived but otherwise it was very clean. The beds were very comfortable. We’re a group of six men and the taller men found the downstairs bunks to be too short. Probably great for kids but a bit short for 6’ men. All in all, it’s a great place and super convenient to Winthrop.

I highly recommend this stay for anyone looking to stay in Winthrop and easy river access right behind the cabin. We had a pleasant stay overall safe for a few upkeep and cleanliness issues with the kitchen.

Great quite river side location

This is a great house with plenty of room, the roads were maintained great due to snow with plenty of parking space in the driveway. We will be back in the summer to take advantage of the river front for fishing.

Dick's Winthrop trip.

We have stayed here 5 times. We keep coming back because the property is everything we could hope for. It is quiet, except for the soft sound of the river which is very close. A porch overlooking the river is a great place to have a quiet dinner. Close to town but far enough away from neighbors to provide privacy. The owners have been exceptionally responsive to a few very minor issues we have had over the years. I highly recommend this property.

Tranquil reconnection

We had an amazing stay. The house is spacious and comfortable with everything we needed for our stay. The location is perfect for quick trips into Winthrop or a day trip to Lake Pearrygin. We hope to stay here again soon!

Chewuch River Retreat at Winthrop WA

We had a great time. The place is perfect for our group of 6, and we are repeat customers. We reserved the same long weekend for 2024 and we were glad to get it. The house is clean, well equipped, and we even (with permission) used one of the bikes available in the garage. The location is excellent, close to town but remote enough that it has an ambience well suited to its riverside location. Thank you again to the Evolve team and to the owners for sharing it.

Winter getaway

Great location, very quiet and secluded! Perfect space for gathering with friends and family, making meals together, sunrises by the river, games around the table, and still close to downtown. Will be back again next year!

Cozy and Rustic in a Great Setting

We enjoyed our stay. The kitchen has all of the equipment one needs to cook anything, the living room couches are very comfortable, the view of the river from the house was really pretty. It snowed a lot during our stay and I was impressed by how well they kept the side road to the house plowed; my 2 wheel drive car was able to get up and down the hills without trouble. In case you are a particular sleeper: the upstairs bed is quite soft and the bunk beds are very firm with springs. We would recommend this house for groups; as we had five friends staying there was plenty of space for each of us to sleep in our own beds but then relax and enjoy together the main floor living space.

Wonderful Quite retreat.

We have stayed here many times and keep coming back. This is a quiet riverside home in a great location. The owners are very responsive should anything be needed. The home is always spotlessly clean when we arrive. The large porch overlooks the river and is perfect for outside dining. I recommend this property highly.

Great River Retreat

We were there for a long summer weekend. Just looking to relax and being on the river was perfect. They had a nice little beach area with picnic table and Adirondack chairs. We also enjoyed visits from the local deer and other wildlife. The house was clean and the kitchen well equipped. It had everything we needed. The house does not have air conditioning but they did provide several fans. Although it was hot outside during the day we were able to keep the house cool by opening it up at night and then using fans as needed. We did not spend that much time inside during the day instead exploring the surrounding area and spending time down by the river.

Everything We Wanted

This home was the perfect getaway for my family of 4! It was relaxing with the creek in view and the sauna downstairs. And we had a lot of fun playing pool in the evenings as well. Close to town and yet far enough away to feel like you're glamping. We hope to return again soon!

Sunflower Event trip

We were in the Valley last year for the Sunflower marathon and stayed elsewhere. We came back (2022) this year and stayed at here. WOW! It is quiet, beautiful, and the river is steps out the door. We sat and relaxed post marathon relay near the water and had coffee in the morning down there. It is a really nice place. Plenty of room for all of us, plenty of bathrooms-no one was waiting for anyone to finish up. There is a washer and dryer which came in handy after a muddy run. We had deer walk through the property on our last night with two young ones! It was so cool to see them just walk on through. That isn't a sight many of us see often. Highly recommend but not during the Sunflower Marathon - we'll be back!!! (Hopefully)
