Located right on Lake Ontario. It has a terrace and is right on the water. This Cottage is 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom. There is an extra pull out bed in the living room. Located 1 hour from Niagara Falls, which is great for kids and families. There is a famous Light House one mile down the road, at Golden Hill State Park. Lots of water activities in the area. There is an Amish community and store nearby and very peaceful.
I live in NYC and enjoy relaxing on the water. It is a break from my busy schedule. I feel like I am in a time warp when I am there.

I love being on the water. This area is where my family gets together. It is fun to have a barbecue and relax and watch the evening sunset.
Deck, the incredible sunsets, being able to build a bonfire in the evening right on the water
When we arrived, the screen on the screen door was ripped out in the corner and the actual door had to be kicked to be opened (or shut). The window screens were covered with dead bugs. The house stank of mold and mildew, which was found on the windows when they were opened. Under the sink in the kitchen, pots and pans were thrown willy-nilly and the moldy smell was strong. It was unusually hot when we were there, so we were not happy discovering the bedroom windows were tiny and barely opened: no cross ventilation. There was barely any water pressure in the shower and the water temperature could not be adjusted; we took cold showers. The worst part was being awakened in the night by the stench of the nearby cattle/manure farm. We had to shut all the windows and suffered in the heat. The nearest gas station is about 8 miles away and a grocery store is a 1/2 hour drive. I would not recommend this rental until the water, mold and odor issues are resolved.
nice views, alot of room outside, shower didn't have much water prresure
Stayed with my hubby, 2 young daughters and my grandfather after a few pit stops in erie and Niagara Falls. Very rural but a lot of gems to be found near by. Olcott's antique theme park n beach, Becker farms winery n brewery, Lockport cave.... Thank you for letting us enjoy your little piece of serenity!
This cottage sits right on the shore of lake Ontario and it felt so serene to sit on the deck and gaze the lake waters during dawn. When the sun was kind enough to come out and warm the waters we jumped in and had a nice little swim! It was exactly as described in the listing with lot of places to sit and sleep, big flat TV, DVD player and a large play area in front of the cottage to play frisbee (available in the cottage). The road to Niagara falls from the cottage is decorated with orchards on both the sides and was an awesome sight! Would recommend allocating some time to get down and take some snaps on this route. I am reducing a star because there are no good restaurants near by and a couple of more fans would have been more helpful.
