VÀlkommen till lugnet vid Shady River Cabin. Vi Àr belÀgna i Ivanhoe, Virginia pÄ New River. Den nya floden ligger pÄ framsidan och New River Trail ligger pÄ baksidan. VÄr stuga Àr mycket familjevÀnlig. Vi har satellit-TV och WIFI. Det finns ett stort rum med kök, badrum och tvÄ sovrum pÄ övervÄningen. PÄ nedre spaken finns en rekreationskÀllare med badkar. Det finns ett bordtennisbord i kÀllaren. Vi har ett övre dÀck som Àr tÀckt och en nedre uteplats som Àr tÀckt.

Communication with Linda, was spot on. We weren’t arriving until after midnight and they left lights on for us. The cleanliness was immaculate. The kitchen was well stocked and met our needs. The beds were comfortable. Anyone renting, “Tranquility “, will not be disappointed. Needless to say, I would definitely stay there again.

We took our one year old and two year old on a weekend trip to the river and they absolutely loved it! The river access was great, we went swimming every day and fished in the river. They yard was huge! We enjoyed our short weekend on the river!

Just loved staying here. Nice home with beautiful river views. Nice big yard. Great deck. The area is peaceful and quiet. We will rent this home again. Thanks to the hosts!

Beautiful location, comfortable house!

We really enjoyed our stay at Tranquility. The house is clean and well stocked for a weekend getaway. The kids had fun in the river and playing ping pong in the basement. The kitchen had everything we needed except a strainer (which wasn’t that big of a deal!) and the grill was clean. The location was perfect for us as we had friends camping at the horse campground next door. We enjoyed the new river trail. All in all a good spot!

Excellent Property and Host

The house is clean, spacious, and well kept. The property is quiet and offers a beautiful view. Lastly, there is a nice trail located near the property for hiking, biking, or running.

Girls Weekend Getaway

We loved this spot. The view was amazing and close to antique shops and the Hillsville Labor Day weekend flea market. The cabin was clean, spacious, well mantained, and very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the back porch which overlooked the New River.

Great Location

This home has ideal access to the river and to the New River Trail. We found the accommodations to be very comfortable and complete. A highlight was the porch with comfortable seating and wonderful views across the yard to the river.

Serene location

We very much enjoyed our stay. The location is ideal for anyone looking to explore the beautiful New River Trail. The home is spacious and cozy with a lovely view of the river .The bed is comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. Great getaway !

Peaceful reset

Sitting, listening to the sounds of the river, allowed for a peaceful weekend to unwind and reset before heading back to the real world. Property was very clean and communication was excellent with the property owner.

Nice place, great owners, superb location

We loved the house. It's a really nice property, long yard going back to the New River. The New River Trail access is just a few hundred yards up the gravel road. The owners were very friendly, answering my questions and being very helpful. Thanks, we'd love to stay again.

Fabulous, Perfect Location

This cabin met all the requirements we needed for a weekend of cycling the trail. Central location on the trail, allowed us to go north and south without having to have a car shuttle. the lawn was beautifully mown and the river was running high, made for a serene setting on the porch where we enjoyed 3 of our 5 meals.

Great Location for New River Trail Ride

Nice, peaceful setting on New River. Front of cabin faces New River Trail and back overlooks New River. Good location for cycling New River Trail. One direction leads to Draper (must eat at Mercantile) and the other to Fries and Galax. Plenty of cycling, walking, horseback or fishing options. Hope to return in future.
