Great 4 night stay! Perfect central location to everything, beautiful lakefront view, very clean and every amenity we needed. The dock was great for fishing! Hated to leave. Will stay here next time!

We had a lovely time at Ordel’s cottage. I had coffee every morning on the patio just enjoying the peaceful view. We had bonfires in the evening. Everything was just perfect. The cottage is very comfortable, welcoming and clean. I will certainly plan to visit again. Mackinaw City and Headlands Sky Park is only six miles away, we had a fantastic dinner at The White Buffalo in Mackinaw City. I highly recommend it. Also Clyde’s place for pizza and cold beer just down the road from the cottage.

We absolutely loved our stay at this cabin on the lake. It is cute, comfortable and equipped for our needs. The location is close to the Mackinac Island ferries and also close to both Lake Huron and Lake Michigan for coast drives. Highly recommended!

Very clean and well appointed with special touches throughout to help make your trip more enjoyable. Host was very responsive and resourceful. It was a bit smaller than I expected and neighbors were very close. But that isn't necessarily the hosts fault. I could have asked more questions when booking the stay. But overall, fantastic stay! And would recommend this to others. Very enjoyable cabin and vacation. The marina nearby, Chubbs, is very reasonable on boat rentals if interested.

Was exactly what we expected. Easy to find when using Apple Maps. Close to Mackinaw City and Mackinac Island. We went for a week and it was a very peaceful week. Enjoyed just sitting out in screened porch and looking at the lake and watching the sunset. There is no AC, but the house didn't need it. With the cool breeze and fans, it was perfectly cool without it. . The host was very quick to respond to any questions we had. The house had everything we needed. There's a cute little general store a few minutes away. If you're looking for anything to do, Ordel gives you some ideas of some places you can go. But you should visit the UP and go to the Mystery Spot. It's a neat and fun place to go. We will definitely come back.!

THE BEDS!!! So comfortable! The house was clean and inviting.Suggestions: GPS couldn't locate road to the house. When communicating with future guests, let them know to look for the yellow house and sign for Carlton Cove. Then look for the blue houses.A notebook with all the info you sent online would be helpful too. ( All the links you sent expired the day after our arrival) Overall-a wonderful place. We highly recommend it.

I could not have asked for a better place to vacation. The property was clean and very comfortable! Communication was excellent. I loved all of the advice for places to see and places to dine at. I try to change up my vacation spots, but this place will be on my “to return to” list!

My husband and I stayed at the Baby Bear cabin and it was perfect for us. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. The cabin is tiny but has everything needed for a getaway to this beautiful area. The beds are very comfortable and the decor is very cute. We absolutely loved the screened porch for watching the sunset over the lake. One night, we turned on the fireplace for a couple of hours because it was chilly!Ordel was a great host and quick to respond to questions. His recommendations for dining and places of interest were very good. Besides the ubiquitous visit to Mackinac Island - definitely rent bikes to ride around the island - we recommend:A visit to Tahquamenon Falls - try the beer bartered whitefish basket and a cold beer for lunch at the brewery. Take a blanket and a snack to the Headlands International Dark Sky Park to see the amazing night sky. Don’t forget the bug spray! Visit Benny the Beard Fisher Troll in Germfask. The young couple who own the campground are so sweet and welcoming.Take the drive to Seney National Wildlife Refuge and see the amazing birds. We got to see a loon, swans, grouse and many other birds. Have dinner at the Chippewa Room for a special night out. Their locally sourced fish dinners are so delicious. Try smoked whitefish dip at all the bars and restaurants; have a scoop of ice cream at Kilwins; watch every sunset; and enjoy the soothing beauty of the lake. Enjoy!
