A formerly low-profile neighborhood at the foot of the Acropolis, home to several service stations and body shops in the past, Koukaki has evolved over the last year in the hottest fun spot in the city, as new hangouts with an alternative character open one after the other. The tour begins from the “Bell Ray” (88, Falirou Str.), which is housed in an old service station that turned into an all-day industrial space, with large windows, tasty snacks, and lovely cocktails, where you’ll find it hard to get a table. The wine bar “Boheme Bourgeois” (36, Anastasiou Zinni Str.) prefers wines from the Greek vineyard, which come with cheeses and cold cuts. Right next door to it (34, A. Zinni Str.), you’ll find the “I Fabrika tou Efrosinou”, namely the factory of Efrosinos – the patron saint of cooks – with plenty of meze dishes and stews. At the “Monsieur Barbu” (59, Falirou Str.) and the “Hops” (10, Drakou Str.) nice, juicy burgers take centre stage, while the “Lotte” (2, Tsami Karatasou Str.) has an air of Parisian bistro. The “Kinono” (48, Falirou Str.), which is a new arrival, is a well-lit all-day corner place with a large bar, an inclusive cocktail list, and exquisite accompaniments, well-known DJs at the decks and large areas in the mezzanine and the basement for exhibitions and one-off performances. For handmade jewelry and other decorative items, check out “Psit!” (9, Veikou Str.), and for funky clothes – also handmade – go to the “Lovecuts” (2, Veikou Str.), right across the street. Complete your tour with a visit to the “State of Concept”, a nonprofit gallery found at No. 19, Tousa Botsari Str.
The apartment is located in a very central spot of Athens. All the archaeological sites are located in walking distance as well as the Acropolis museum and the Acropolis metro station, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, the Panathenaic Stadium and the "Plaka" area which is the most ancient part of the city.
We can arrange transfers from/to the airport or port upon request.

We had a wonderful stay and would stay here again. It was clean and cozy for my daughter and I. It made for a relaxing stay knowing everything we needed was within walking distance. We made friends with the people at the coffee shop a few doors down. The grocery market is around the corner. Thank you!

A nice apartment to use as a base in Athens. Very safe a convenient to many of the area attractions. We had a group of 5 and had no issues at all. The beds were comfortable and the AC was great.
Our 5 family members enjoyed a fun weekend in the apartment. We were very comfortable there and loved the trendy neighborhood with many restaurants and local shops. Best of all, the Acropolis and Museum are an easy walk away. The host was very responsive and arranged excellent transport for us when we needed it. Highly recommend this cute place
Aparment was super cute, had all the amenities. Great little coffee and pastry place right there. Very close to the everything. The toilet seats wiggle, a bit uncomfortable. Host was very nice, accommodating. Lovely place!
Great AC! Easy in easy out. Maybe a heads up on turning the boiler switch on for hot water and not being able to flush paper down the toilet. Would stay here again!
Being so close to the Acropolis, including an amazing view of it from the balcony, and a selection of great restaurants, bakeries, and bars, you can’t ask for better location. And with three bedrooms, it’s perfect for a family. The only thing that would’ve been nice would be a microwave oven. But I know that’s not standard in a lot of units overseas, so was not a big issue.
An excellent position. So close to acropolis, lots of restaurants, cafes ect. You can either go to the touristy spots or to quieter cafes, bars and restaurants nearby. There is a small supermarket close by. Walking distance to other areas like Plaka, central markets ect. Close to metrobstation
We absolutely loved this apartment and the location. It looks exactly as shown, and felt spacious for our family to enjoy the Christmas holidays. The owner was very responsive and really helpful. The terrace was an added bonus! also spacious with a nice big table for breakfast in the sun. The location could not have been better. Short walk to the Acropolis, or the park and tons of local restaurants to choose from. Not only do we recommend this place - we hope to be back!
Great views of Parthenon from primary, especially at night. Balcony in rear and larger in front. Central location to monuments, metro, hop on/off buses. City-size washer with drying racks on front balcony. Small elevator fits luggage plus one person to fifth floor penthouse. Bedding worked fine for our family of five.
True Athens neighborhood, great space for families
Amazing communication before and during the trip to set up transportation for us and send tons of information about the check in process. The place has 3 bedrooms, 1.5 bath, large living room/dining area and large outdoor patio. 1 bedroom with view of Acropolis. Elevator is very small so just be prepared to use stairs. Secure building and place just a few blocks from the touristy area. Found great local coffee shops and bakeries and restaurants!

Great location in Athens
We really enjoyed our stay in the apartment in Koukaki. The space was perfect for our family of 6 and the location was very central to all the main attractions and also close to many restaurants and shops. Beds were comfortable and AC did a good job of keeping apartment cool in summer heat. Spyros was very responsive and easy to communicate with, including several late changes to our travel arrangements due to missed flights and cancelled ferries. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is because sheets were clean but stained in several areas and we only had 4 bath towels for 6 of us.
Nice and spacious. Individual air conditioners for each room. Modestly equipped kitchen. The location cannot be beat. Easy walking distance to lots of shopping and dozens of places to eat. We stayed 4 days and never rented a car or paid for a taxi. We visited Acropolis, Acropolis Museum, Temple of Zeus, Olympic Stadium, and several other places and walked to all of them. The host arranged our transfers from/to the airport. The WiFi is sufficient for everything except streaming. I would stay here again.

A really nice place for 5 or 6 people to stay. Only 5 minute walk to the Acropolis, the Plaka ( lots of good restaurants and shopping), and the subway (to either the port or the airport). Landlady was very good about communication.
5 nights at this property were excellent. It was close to everything in downtown Atnens.
