About the property

Cottage, 1 Bedroom + Sofa Bed (sleeps 2-3)

Nestled among the redwoods of Cazadero, Elim Cottage is located in the oasis of Elim Grove, on the grounds of the award-winning Raymond's Bakery – the perfect place to unwind and enjoy Sonoma County.

Elim Cottage sleeps 2 in a crisp, light wood interior with stylish furnishings and a queen bed. It also features a cozy sitting room, with a twin sized fold out couch, a wood stove, a microwave & fridge, and a private bathroom with shower and tub. The cottage is only a stone's throw from Austin Creek swimming hole. Stroll to the creek, take a plunge, enjoy strolls along nearby trails, play bocce, relax under the gazebo and nap in the garden room or under the Gravenstein apple tree. Share a romantic evening in front of the propane wood stove or by the campfire.

Please note that Elim Grove Cottage can sleep up to 3 people including the twin sofa bed. Children 4 and under are free.

For larger groups of up to 17 persons, book Elim Grove Cottage together with Gravenstein Cottage, Paradise Grove Cottage, Creekside Cottage and Baker's Loft - all located on the grounds near the bakery.

'We stayed a few nights with Mark and Elizabeth, and all I can say is they are the best hosts ever. . .Our daughter loved the little playground next to the bakery, it was also a plus that Mark offered a stroller which we forgot at home. Every morning a hot breakfast was provided and it was delicious!'

About Mark Weiss

Fourteen years ago my wife and I fell in love with an abandoned restaurant with four tired cottages on three acres of wild blackberries and old growth redwoods on Austin Creek. It has been an exhausting/exhilarating labor of love that has enriched our lives in more ways than we ever imagined. We hope that you will enjoy it as much as we have!

Mark Weiss purchased this cottage in 2002

Why Mark Weiss chose Sonoma County

Come stay with us and benefit from the tranquility and beauty of Austin Creek with majestic Old Growth redwoods towering above. Relax and unwind in our little corner of paradise.

Our Cottages are located on the grounds of award-winning Raymond’s Bakery. While you are here, you are welcome to enjoy an afternoon in the garden, take a stroll along Austin Creek, play bocce, relax under the gazebo or nap under the Gravenstein apple tree. In the evenings you can unwind by the campfire.

What makes this cottage unique

We own and are the bakers at Raymond's Bakery Bed & Breakfast just a three minute walk around the redwoods. So be ready for some gold-medal baked goodies to welcome you to our corner of paradise. We can also share the secrets of a few swimming holes and where to find the best skipping stones.

Amazing

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I are expecting our frist child, and decided to go on a Babymoon. One of the places was here at elim Grove cottages, and we are so happy that we stayed here. Mark is an amazing person and was great company, and the food at Raymonds bakery was amazing.

We had a very relaxing time and would recommend staying here if you just want to get away.

Magical

  • 5 of 5

This is not our first stay with Elim Grove cottages and it won't be our last. We come back to this magical place because of the amazing people, connections, location, and the feeling like have been taken away to someplace you can only find in fairly tales in books. Do yourself a favor and visit Mark and this amazing place he and his family have built, you will not be disappointed! Thank you again Mark for a wonderful adventure and until we meet again......

Such a Quiet Quaint Wonderful Getaway!!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful visit at Elim Cottage. The cabin provided everything we needed and the people working at the bakery were AMAZING!!! They went out of their way to make sure that we were happy. The Friday night pizza and live music was awesome!! Overall everyone was so friendly and welcoming it was like going to a family reunion rather than staying at a cabin away from home. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends and family.

p.s. The bakery makes the most delicious food so even if you can only swing by for that it is well worth the drive!!!!

We loved it

  • 5 of 5

We are a family of two adults and a baby and we stayed Friday-Sunday. We absolutely loved it and will definitely come back. The cottage was super cozy and comfy and the owners made you feel at home right away. We loved the pizza night Friday where they had live music. Everything we had in the bakery was dangerously good! Loved our stay!

Great Find!

  • 4 of 5

Great experience! Off the beaten path, with a rustic, simplistic personal touch. The owner greeted us with a smile, pint, glass of wine , a tour of the bakery and grounds. My wife, our 6 month old were celebrating our first year anniversary. Small sleeping quarters, with a welcoming feel. Advertisement for a "kitchen" and ability to cook your own meals was a little deceiving, with only a small personal fridge, microwave and no eating utensils. Up side was they were more than willing to provide them in the bakery. Free breakfast in the morning at the bakery was great! We felt like we were at home and were able to "help ourselves" to the goodness of a good selection of pastries and coffee and tea drink of our choice. Bakery staff were very friendly and welcoming, as well as the other guests and locals. Friday night pizza and beer night is a must! Great homemade hand tossed pizza, live music and a friendly mellow crowd provided a relaxed experience for us and our young son. Saturday the bakery was open to the public so the selection was more plentiful. The focaccias were amazing. During the stay my wife's sweet tooth was satisfied with complementary brownies and cookies from the bakery. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return. There are different size cottages. We stayed at the Elim Grove cottage and would recommend staying in a bigger cottage if there are more than 2 of you. Thanks again for the hospitality!

Notes:
Our bakery is open Friday through Sunday with local musicians playing on Friday evenings for our Community Pizza, Beer & Wine Night. We do close the bakery from early December through mid January to give our awesome staff a break for the holidays. However, the B&B is always open and breakfast is included for each morning of your stay. We bake fresh pastries and goodies every morning for our guests.
