Our cleaning protocols are designed to ensure the property is guest-ready by our standard 3:00 PM check-in time, regardless of when guests choose to arrive. After booking, you asked whether firewood was provided, and we explained that it was not an included amenity. When you later expressed how much you would love to have firewood for your wedding night, we made an exception and coordinated with our cleaning team to make a one-hour trip into town to purchase and deliver it as a complimentary gesture. This required our team to step away from their scheduled turnover responsibilities. The hair found on the bedroom linens was caused by residual hair clinging to freshly laundered sheets due to static electricity in the dryer. Our cleaning team did not observe any other particles or debris on the linens during preparation. While this does not excuse the oversight, it is an important distinction, as the linens had been laundered prior to your arrival. We acknowledged your concern immediately and have reinforced our inspection procedures to prevent similar occurrences. We also noticed your repeated references to the cost of the reservation, followed by your request for financial compensation due to the hairs clinging onto the linens. While we understand your disappointment, we found it unfortunate that these requests did not appear to take into consideration the additional accommodations we had already made at our own expense. Beyond purchasing the firewood itself, we absorbed the cost of our cleaning team's time, transportation, and fuel to fulfill a request for an amenity that was never included in the reservation. We did so voluntarily, without seeking reimbursement, because we wanted to make your wedding night a little more special. Our rates are transparently displayed before booking and reflect the property's size, amenities, location, and market demand. The rate you selected was the rate charged, with no hidden fees or unexpected expenses. We were happy to recognize your special occasion and went beyond our advertised amenities to make your wedding night memorable. However, we believe it's important to distinguish between the accommodations included with a reservation and additional gestures of goodwill.
