We’re a family who has been coming to Apple Canyon Lake for over 10 years, and it has truly become our home away from home. Our kids have grown up spending summers here—golfing, exploring, swimming, fishing in the quiet mornings, and enjoying late-night bonfires under the stars. We love exploring nearby Galena, skiing at Chestnut Mountain, and soaking in everything this beautiful area has to offer year-round.

You can spend your day renting a pontoon, fishing, hiking the trails, or playing a round of golf—and still be just a short drive from the shops, dining, and charm of downtown Galena. In the winter, we love heading over to Chestnut Mountain for skiing and snowboarding. It’s a year-round destination that never gets old no matter how many times we come back.
