Our house is located on Great creek, which is exactly what it stands for. GREAT! It is off the main lake so traffic is slim, the fishing is good and the water is nice.

Discover this 5-bedroom gem in Bracey with a Hot Tub. This brilliant house boasts 2 king beds, 1 queen bed, 2 bunk beds, 1 twin bed, and 1 full bed. Our deck offers amazing views of the lake with a Gas Grill and Blackstone and a marvelous table that seats 12. Wanna play inside... the basement includes a large TV and Pool Table. We have taken the time to make sure the kitchen has everything you could ever need (as I am personally a HUGE cook) ... please feel free to just any condiments, spices... we just ask if you use anything up you replace it for us (or at least let us know). Please take advantage of the lily pad mat, kayaks and paddle boards that we also have to offer at/in our Boat House!

Boat Owners:

There is a culvert you have to go through and it’s tight. I fit my 23lsv malibu through it without having to break my tower down. Our dock sits in 5-8 feet of water with lots of room to tie a boat off w/ bumpers and cleats on the dock. There is also a Jet Ski lift that is attached to our Dock, and you are more than welcome to use as well.

Holly Grove Boat Marina & Boat Ramp (2-minute drive from house):

This marina has one slot and is not recommended for unloading larger boats. The ramp drops off after the dock on the left side and can mess your trailer up. There is also a $5 fee every time you use it. This place is great to load up on drinks, snacks and Ice cream. They have a small grill inside that offers breakfast and lunch sandwiches.

Poplar Creek Boat Ramp (5-minute drive from the house):
This is the best ramp option closest to our house. It’s free and has two slots to drop your boat. Plus, it’s near the Shady Shack Bar & Grill. The negative is that it’s 25-minute boat ride to the house.

Shady Shack Bar and Grill:

Really cool on the water restaurant offering pizzas, tacos, and other comfort food. It has a nice bar along live music sometimes.

We had a great stay .the home was spacious and clean. The kitchen was well stocked and the lake was nice. We really enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. There were many games to play as well as pool table.great overall place for vacation

I can not sya enough Greta things about this rental. They had EVERYTHING you could think if. Brought all my normal "vacation rental back up" stuff and never needed any. All cooking needs were covered plus more. Plenty of plates, cutlery, pots/pans and tupperware. The house is beautifully maintained and the dock is perfect for relaxing. There were beach towel, life vest, paddle boards, floats, fishing rods, kayaks, 2 Lilly pads and plenty of chairs to relax in. Kimberly was a gracious host who was available for anything needed. My family will for sure be back again. The ONLY thing I would be aware of is the walk to abd from the lake is lots of steps and little steep. If anyone has mobility issues it would be tough.

Wonderful home and perfect location on a quiet spot of the lake, just off of 85 and an easy drive from Raleigh. Beds were comfortable and plentiful, house was well stocked with everything you could want, from cookware to sheets/towels to water toys. Great use of space regarding seating and lounge spaces. Owner was communicative and helpful. Would absolutely rent this home again!

We had a wonderful stay at Kimberly’s place! We’ve been vacationing at Lake Gaston for years and this was by far the nicest stay we’ve had! We loved cooking meals on the porch while enjoying the gorgeous view of the cove. Huge bonus to have a large blackstone and a grill as we love to cook! The kitchen had everything you would need for homemade meals and it was great to have an extra full fridge in the basement. The beds were incredibly comfortable and it was nice to have black out curtains and white noise machines. I need to touch base with Kimberly about what kind of couch is in the living room because we decided that’s what we need at home! We love to play pool and found the table and cues to be in great shape. It was a little warm for the hot tub, but we enjoyed it on our one rainy/cooler day. The dock was great with plenty of covered seating and space to lounge. Since it’s a bit of a walk to the house, the fridge space at the dock was nice. The cove was perfect for swimming and paddleboarding. The kids caught bluegill, a couple of small bass and a catfish off the dock! It’s a bigger channel so there was boat traffic in the distance, but we felt safe floating around the dock. Kimberly was a wonderful host offering lots of extras (starter soaps, hand soaps, paper products etc.) and was very responsive, although we didn’t need much from her during our stay. We will definitely book again!

This is a lovely home! The kitchen is well stocked and much better than others we’ve visited. The dock area is perfect for kids and adultswith seating. The lily pad was big fun as were the kayaks. My only recommendation would be to change check-in time to three instead of 4 PM and check out change it from 10 AM to 11 AM.

House was bigger than expected from the pictures which was a nice surprise. Grill was fairly new and worked great for multiple cookouts. Kitchen had everything we needed. We really enjoyed all the water items available.

We had the most amazing trip at Lake Gaston thanks to this home and host! Not only was the house itself so cozy, clean and spacious, but they had so many fun things for us to use to enjoy our time on the water. The dock was amazing and the water toys kept our kids entertained for hours. Wegot a pontoon delivered for three days (wish we did more) from Lake Gaston Summer Rentals and we tubed a lot! They were awesome to work with! Highly recommend The Honey Hole for meals and icecream stops! If you have a boat, just take a ride there via water! We enjoyed One Eyed Jacks as well. If you have small children who want to get out and go do an activity, adventure island was a cute small arcade/laser tag/putt putt that we really enjoyed about half an hour away! This home provides so much cozy couch time, beautiful early morning porch views, hot tub dips and loads of water access and fun. Kimberly was beyond communicative and had the house so nicelystocked with towels, linens and shower necessities! Thank you again for sharing your home which allowed our week of chill family fun to be beyond our expectations. This house is in such a nice spot. Highly recommend!
