Beautifully appointed, thoughtful features, kitchen well supplied. Lovely screen porch. Easy living. Perfect location - short walk to downtown St Pete. Nice privacy. Responsive owner. A delightful stay.
Excellent loft, excellent location
My husband and I stayed for 7 weeks and found the loft very comfortable. The location was close to downtown, the water, and lots of restaurants and businesses we could walk to. The dog loved the walkable neighborhood. My cat enjoyed the screened in porch. The loft is equipped with about everything you need. The garage is ideal for storing bicycles and golf clubs and anything else you dont need inside. Parking outside worked best. We enjoyed the bottle of wine left for us too! No complaints.
Quaint and full of charm.
There is so much of Ann in her dwellings. She has a style and vision that let’s you sink into the neighborhood as if you were a local. The kitchen, living area, bedroom and bath are gorgeous and sitting on the lanai watching the weather go on is thrilling. Not only was our dog, Bru, supremely contented but we were just a few blocks from all the action in downtown. So go for the personality and beauty and enjoy St. Pete from this great little loft.
Walk St Pete
Everything you need nothing you don’t. A garage, second floor screened porch, kitchen, living room, bedroom, laundry and bath. Walk to Vinoy Park, Downtown St Pete and around historic NE. Great weather comes free of charge!
Sunny and Snug in St. Petersburg
How delightful to awaken to artifacts of the sea, beautiful ceiling moldings, and a ceiling fan reminiscent of old Florida as well as the blue sky outside our window!
We were greeted on our first evening by flowers, wine, and chocolates, quite a glorious way to celebrate what happened to be the 49th anniversary of our first date in 1970.
Ann, our gracious proprietress, has decorated her coachhouse apartment in quite a charming manner, AND she has thought of everything her guests might need for wonderful stay in this walk-to-everything-in-downtown-St. Petersburg location. We cooked many meals in the kitchen, finding all of the cooking and dining items we needed. A closet laundry took much of the hassle out of our two-week stay. One must climb stairs to the second floor location but the entry hall surrounding the stairs is decorated with such pretty colors and interesting posters and decorative items that one forgets the climb.
Porch dining for two was pleasant (although the view is bland), and the porch glider offered superb comfort.
We felt happy to be in such a charming location and delighted to know Ann, the proprietress.
About Ann Goldman
I am originally from Annapolis, Maryland where my former husband and I rehabbed historic homes. We accumulated a handful that we rented. When I came to Florida to escape the dismal northern winters, I continued. I buy and then convert sad little places into whimsical fun spots in my signature shabby chic, coastal and eclectic style. Being a professional designer helps. And being a collector of antiques gives me the means to add interesting vintage pieces to the mix. When done right, this crazy combination makes for a relaxing and homey combination. I now have 5 charming little furnished rentals. All are vintage 1920 properties and all are in Old Northeast. I make my outside spaces as nice as the inside spaces. All my bungalows are surrounded by lush tropical flowers, vines and palms. Each has a fountain with outside seating areas. My loft and studio apartments have either courtyards or flower boxes off the screen porches. I lease to sophisticated renters who appreciate vintage homes with charm and character. Most of my requests are from people out of state. Lately, I’ve had visitors from abroad. Some want to escape the northern winters. Some want to live here while they search for a place to buy. Some are rehabbing a house nearby. And some just want a second home here. I hope I can help with all those needs.
Ann Goldman purchased this Apartment in 2014
Why Ann Goldman chose Historic Old Northeast
I purchased this property in 2014. It is nearly 100 years old. It used to be part of an old horse farm. It is currently a multi-family property. The bungalow in front has a beautiful private courtyard and garden. It is rented year long to the same couple. Visitors in the carriage house can enjoy the garden from their windows. The carriage house was either a barn for buggies or possibly a garage housing T-model Fords and other cars of the period. On the early maps, it is designated as a garage. Now it houses two charming loft apartments.
What makes this Apartment unique
The lofts are in a terrific location. Walk one direction and you are heading for the shops, restaurants, museums and waterfront in town. Walk the other direction and you are going toward the businesses on 4th Street . . . coffee shops, grocery stores. Walk to dinner and shops. It is only about 10 blocks. Walk to the water. It is about six blocks. In fact, you can see it from the street. Tons of restaurants, bars, shops, museums, theaters and festivals. Travel less than 15 minutes and you are at the gulf beaches with a variety of water sports. Even places like Disney are just a day trip away!. St. Petersburg, Florida keeps getting better. People used to think there was nothing to do in St. Petersburg but sit on the green benches downtown. But now, it is a vibrant, growing city and an exciting tourist destination.
