50 Tip of the Mitten


Enjoy my beautiful 3-bedroom scenic view condominium located at the Shores at Mackinaw on the pristine shores of Lake Huron. You will get to experience the beautiful views of the Mackinac Bridge and historic Mackinac Island. My condominium is fully furnished.

My condo has a king bed in the master with an attached bathroom. The second room has a queen with a connecting bathroom to the third queen room. The condo comes with 2 bathrooms, full kitchen, washer & dryer, private garage, balcony, heated shared pool located on Lake Huron. You can enjoy a view of the Mackinaw Bridge while you are in the pool. You must climb 17 steps to enter the main level of the condo. This is where everything is located other than the garage.

My rental property manager will have a contract for you to read over and fill out. It will have to be faxed, emailed or mailed back to her prior to your arrival. It is a list of the condominium rules the will be enforced by the property manger at the complex. Such as no campers, trailers, boats, etc.

Magnificent Mackinaw City vacation. The condo met and exceeded all of our expectations. I would happily stay here again. The location was ideal, the community was very well cared for, and the condo was immaculate.

Extremely relaxing, condo is extremely clean and well kept, grounds are well maintained as well as the pool area, awesome location! Without the plastic on the steps, rugs and runners EVERYWHERE and sticky notes with instructions on everything I would give it a solid 5 stars!! The amenities were a pleasant surprise, bottled water, snacks and K Cups. I would stay in this condo community again!!

This second floor condo was lovely! My family didn’t have any issues, but if someone in your group has mobility issues, there is a steep stairway to access the condo and there are lots of area rugs and runners to keep the carpeting clean. The beds and furniture were comfortable, everything was well stocked (dishes, etc), nice balcony area. The property was lovely, right by the water and a fire pit nearby. One item of note: the cleaning fee does not cover full cleaning service - you must have all dishes clean and put away before the end of your stay.Carol was wonderful to work with - very responsive.

Amazing

Tip of the Mitten was a beautiful sanctuary for our Michigan fall break trip. Great location. Highly recommend and hope to visit again real soon.

Not awful

The place is in very good condition, but that's also the problem. There are plastic runners up the stairs and rug runner everywhere else. The entire house is WHITE, so be careful. Also, paid a cleaning fee through VRBO, but then once you arrive, there are posters stating that it's a self cleaning kitchen etc, and if dishes are done AND put away, along with laundry started and all garbage taken to the local dumpster down the street, that you will be charged extra. It's a nice area, and in a good location, but we won't be staying here again. We felt more like an unwanted guest that needed to tiptoe around the condo than we did on vacation.

This was an amazing rental for our family. Very clean, well stocked with everything we needed. The pool and beach are perfect -5 min walk from the property.

Mackinaw City stay

Extremely clean condo in a quiet, safe location by the lake with a bridge view. Short drive to the ferry docks and tourist stops and shops simple check in and out. We would certainly stay again

Beautiful town home! It’s new, pretty clean and welcoming! It was so nice to come back to such a nice home after a full day of activities on Mackinac Island! The grounds are very nice as well and the outdoor heated pool was so nice We definitely would go back

Fabulous Condo

The condo was as described. Beautiful area, friendly neighbors & the kids loved the pool. It was one of the best equipped kitchens I’ve experienced. Lots of plates, bowls and pans. Beds were extremely comfortable, lots of pillows & blankets. Even the deck was lovely & well equipped. I have NO complaints. Communication was within minutes & she helped with suggestions about what to see for kids to see. Thanks so much. Five star! Hope

Girls weekend

This property is within a community of people that are genuine and welcoming. We met two separate owners both of whom asked us about our stay, provided recommendations, and encouraged us to use the property amenities. Th owner of this property is the most generous and accommodating host I have ever dealt with. Snacks, water bottles, and coffee pods were an unexpected and welcomed provision providing much appreciated fuel after our long drive up. The property was very clean and the property manager was engaging. The only suggestion is to add to the written description of the property the steep stairs. We had an older individual with us and we’re unprepared. It all worked well, but there was initial panic. Overall I would 100% stay here again! A total gem!!!!

Nearly Perfect

Great condo close to downtown for my family’s recent visit to Mackinaw. The space was clean, comfortable, and fairly quiet. The host provided information about the area and some snacks, which were a huge hit with my daughter. My only real complaint would be that the AC unit was loud in one bedroom when running so we ended up sleeping with it off at night. Not the end of the world by any means since the weather was nice, but could be an issue during warmer weathers. That being said though I would for sure stay here again.

Wonderful Getaway!

This property was great! Clean, spacious, and access to all the items we could need. The views were great and the kids loved the access to the beach for rock hunting. Great location- easy to bike to town and ferry or even to Cheboygan using the trail across the street. We had a great trip and hope to visit again someday- thank you for sharing this beautiful place with us! Only note I would add to listing is that this is a second floor unit with a wide stair opening off the main hallway. Just have to watch little ones closely to make sure they are quiet for the neighbors below and that they don’t get too close to steps when playing since they are not blocked off. Not a huge issue for us as we were out and about usually except for nap/bedtime but might want to consider that if you want to stay in the condo more than being out and about. Thanks again!

Perfect Place

There were 7 of us girls just on a girls trip. This is so convenient to the island without hauling all of your belongings on the ferry. It’s right on the lake. The only downside is don’t forget bug spray! Mosquitoes are really bad everywhere up there.

Very clean and great location

We stayed here with our kids and parents. The condo was one of the cleanest VRBOs I’ve ever stayed at. The beds were very comfortable. We felt right at home, the condo was stocked with everything we needed for a long weekend. The location was great! Even though it was not right on the water it was a short walk to the beach and pool. The beach and pool were not crowded which was nice. It was a short 2 minute drive to downtown Mackinaw. We are looking forward to coming back next year!

Excellent condo

This was an excellent place to stay while we were in Mackinaw City. Very clean. Well-equipped. Beds were comfortable. Felt like our home away from home. Very convenient to everything we wanted to do in the area.

Vacation made easy

Condo was spacious for our group (4 adults & 4 kids), everyone was comfortable. Condo location is close to downtown Mackinaw and the ferry to Mac Island. Excellent that there is pool in the condo complex. Check in/out was easy. Carol was responsive to any questions we had. Great time!!

Amazing condo in great location

We had an amazing time staying at this very clean condo in Mackinaw City! The condo was very very clean, had an amazing view of the bridge., a small beach area, and a very nice community pool! We would defy stay at this property again!!
