Merle Hay vacation rentals

We enjoyed our stay.. very close to the facility we needed to go to. Quite neighborhood and property manager was always quick to respond!

We are volleyball coaches and had a volleyball tournament in downtown Des Moines and needed to bring our dog with us for this trip. We found this VRBO that offered a fenced back yard and had two king beds, which was perfect for me, my spouse and adult daughter. The house is in a great neighborhood, close to downtown and the hotels our team stayed at in Clive. We had a great trip and the house was perfect for us due to location, size and amenities. It was relaxing and comfortable with owners who were responsive and accommodating. Everything was just as described.

What a wonderful property this was. The layout was excellent for a large group with the multiple living spaces, bedrooms and 2 KING suites. The furnishings were modern and comfortable and the decor was top notch. We loved everything about the property, included the nice surprise of a little extra space made available at the last minute. We enjoyed the state of art kitchen and spent every night eating at the massive dining room table and playing one of the many games provided for entertainment. We had a large part of our family with us to see our son graduate from Drake and this house was in the ideal location. Just far enough away to avoid the madness of campus on a very busy weekend of moving out and mutliple graduations, and just close enough to be a very quick and easy (interstate free) commute to the University. We loved it and are very thankful that out of the many options on the area, we chose the perfect one for us.

We wanted to be close to downtown for a short drive to the Botanical Gardens and Des Moines Art Center, and in a neighborhood where we felt safe. This home met those expectations. It's in a quiet spot (dead-end street) and even has an apple tree in the back yard.
