Montmartre continues to attract Parisians and tourists alike, with its bistros, brasseries, boulangeries (bakeries), sidewalk cafes and boutiques, dotting its streets.
At the rue Lepic market you will find all that your heart desires in gastronomic fare and quick eats.
What visit to Montmartre would be complete without a visit to Sacre Coeur which is just minutes from the apartment.
Made famous in numerous films and songs, view the red painted mill of the Moulin Rouge where you can still see a good old fashioned Cancan.
The beloved “quartier” of Van Gogh, Toulouse-Lautrec, Renoir & countless other great painters and artists, is yours not just for a moment but for a life time.
The apartment is located right in the heart of the rue Lepic market but no need to worry about street noise as all the apartment’s windows are facing the courtyard
You are between two metro stations here, Abbesses and Blanche (lines 12 and 2 respectively), and have various bus lines available to wiz you around Paris in a short time. You can also make use of Metro Place de Clichy where you can not only use the metro but also use the buses 80 to get you to The Champs Elysee and the Eiffel Tower or the 95 for Saint Germain, and the Louvre
The location of the apartment is right on a busy street with lots of great restaurants, bakeries, and specialty food stores. It's very close to the metro so getting around Paris is very easy.
This was our first visit to Paris, and this apartment was in such a convenient, beautiful location. It's a very short walk to 3 different metro lines (including the Gare du Norde train station, which has trains going to Brussels, Amsterdam, etc.), and such a breeze to get to all of the major attractions in Paris. Local boulangeries, fromageries, pharamacies, grocery stores are all just steps outside your door (and friendly owners). The unit is small, as are most apartments in Paris, but had everything we could possibly need. Wifi worked well, we had plenty of blankets and towels, and there's even a laptop computer for your use. We ate a few small meals at the apartment, and they provided plenty of plates, coffee mugs, utensils, and a very handy hot water kettle. And, the unit is located inside a courtyard, so it was always very quiet. We hope to come again soon!
We enjoyed our stay in this fresh, clean, pretty, quiet, well appointed apartment. The owner has thought of everything a traveler could need or want. Rue Lepic is bustling with shops - a boulangerie, patisserie, butcher, seafood store, chocolate shop, florist - all with the best fresh offerings and prettiest displays. And there's a great cafe on the corner. The apartment is inside a courtyard and away from any street noise . The two nearby metro stations give easy access to the whole city.
this property started out small for us but after a day or two it was plenty large enough. the charm takes time to come through but is there
THis apartment is sooo lovely and sweet. The décor of the apartment and the feel of the neighborhood were perfect for our first trip to Paris. It was well stocked with everything we needed.
The location was close to the metro and a gorgeous walk to nice restaurants and the Sacre Coeur. The neighborhood might catch you off guard at first as it is quite bustling but we found we loved it within just a short walk up the hill and turned around to look at the view.
The woman who greeted us was so friendly and welcoming and gave us every bit of info we could've asked for.
There are only two small things you should know... neither should stop you from choosing this apartment, just good to know ahead of time.
1- The shower is extremely small. We are two small women and we had a hard time reaching up to wash our hair without bumping our elbows into the doors.
I know this is typical of Paris- just be warned.
2- There is a staircase up to the apartment- no elevator.
That's it! We loved our stay and are already using this company again this summer to book our stay. Thank you Homeaway and Elodie!
We looked all over the internet before choosing this flat. We arrived by Eurostar and then cabbed it over. You go thru the tenderloin district, but once you head up the hill it becomes a nicer neighborhood. We had a lovely woman meet us there who showed us around. The steps leading up are small and circular, so be aware if you have huge luggage. The architecture is what you really want; quirky, slightly worn and authentic. The closet is tiny, the bed is not really a full and the kitchen and bath are tiny. I mean tiny. The dishwasher was as high as 1 plate. That's tiny. We weren't there to cook amazing meals but you should be aware of what you're going to find. There is a lovely "cafe" just up the street that is local food done really well. I think it is part of a chain but don't let that dissuade you. You are close to 3 different metro stations. Be aware Abesse requires climbing 12 stories of stairs. The two at the bottom of the hill are much easier to navigate but again, if you are coming home at night you'll walk thru the tenderloin.
