    Breakfast was great when they serve their eggs farm fresh and great tasting . Which was once. Granola and yogurt I get at most hotels for continental breakfast. Place was unique at views were stunning.

    The house was beautiful. The breakfast was great, and they were homemade organic foods. The owners were really nice and treat me like a family member. We really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely stay here again if we come back to Switzerland.

    This property has stunning views, the place is like out of a fairytale story book. Our family had an amazing time here, the hosts treated my daughter like family when she arrived a day earlier than the rest of the family due to our flight delays.     Like staying with family

    The house is so quaint and lovely, perched on a hillside with an amazing view of the mountains from the patio. Our hosts Brad and Marianna are so nice and accommodating. They even had two breakfasts for us one morning, one for two of our kids who wanted to go hiking early and one for the rest of us later. And the breakfasts were delicious! The homemade bread Marianna made was the best I've ever had. Brad was great, talked with us about football and told us about some gorgeous waterfalls just up the road from the house a bit, as well as the rosti at the little mountain restaurant. Such a great experience!

    Beautiful sanctuary

    Wow! The area is wonderful. The house was warm and comfortable, but the best part were the hosts. They are an amazing family that welcomed us like we were family. What a wonderful experience, and a great getaway. Oh, and the pancakes for breakfast were simply delicious. Our stay couldn't have been better!!

    In one word Fabulous!

    Absolutely stunning location ! And the owners were phenomenal! Had a great time walking beside the river and just sitting on the porch looking at the snow cap alps. Breakfast was amazing ! Russian pancakes with sour cream on top ! Yummmmmy! We made friends there for a life time .

    Amazing views, superb medieval style architecture and most kind reception

    We had such an amazing time at Haus Schönegg BnB. The view from our room was incredible, the bedroom, the bathroom, the garden and all rooms are impeccably clean and well maintained. The decoration of the house is very charming, makes you feel being in a fairytale. Thank you so much Bradley and Marianna for your warm welcoming and your kindness.

    Beautiful location, kindest hosts

    The property was in the perfect location - remote and surrounded by amazing scenery but close to grocery store (15 mins) and other attractions. Mariana gave personalized recommendations on what to do. She made the most fantastic breakfast for us and was so accommodating! 5/5 for sure.

    Excellent experience; Bradley, Marianna and kids were fantastic hosts.

    We have rented through VRBO several times and this was absolutely the best rental experience we have had. We had a family of 14, different rooming requirements, etc. With a prior description of our family rooming needs, upon arrival the hosts had us set up for a very comfortable stay. It was a five star+ experience from initial contact, the stay and check out. We had our Christmas dinner at the house, prepared by Marianna and family, and it was fantastic, better than expected. For our family, this was definitely a Christmas to remember. The hospitality of the hosts was outstanding; from information about the area, to travel recommendations, to TLC for a teenager under the weather.     A Honeymoon Highlight!

    Our stay at Haus Schonegg was a real highlight from our two-week honeymoon last December. This gem in the Swiss Alps was quiet and beautiful, a scenic place of repose away from the hustle and bustle. The view out our window of the snow-covered mountainside looked like a Winter Wonderland postcard! Brad and Marianna were warm Christian hosts. Brad helped us carry our bags inside, and Marianna was attentive to our laundry needs, as they arose. Their hospitality was excellent with a hearty breakfast, including yogurt, granola, and French Press coffee; and tea and cinnamon rolls in the evenings. Brad and Marianna were also knowledgeable about local Alpine attractions, giving good advice. Yet they did not crowd our space: they had a great balance of friendliness, while respecting this special time during our first month of marriage. The aesthetics inside their three-story home are rich with the past, with stately furniture and old paintings. We greatly enjoyed our three nights there, and if we every make it to the Alps again, we would—without hesitation—stay there again!

    Not great for large family group without car

    We were a large group of 7 adults and 3 children. The home is nice but the vrbo listing could be clearer about the fact that the kitchen is not included and that the space is shared and is not private. Also there were a very large number of flies on the higher floor and 2 large dogs who seemed nice, but I was nervous about them being around our small children. We couldn’t let the kids into the garden because of all the dog poo. I spoke to the proprietor on the phone prior to arriving to ask if we would need a car, and he said the place was accessible by public transport and there was a ski area within walking distance. But the buses are infrequent, finish early, and don’t line up with the trains. It was extremely difficult to coordinate a large group going for dinner at the nearest restaurant because the last bus back was at 18:30. We had to beg use of the kitchen, which was uncomfortable as a visiting nun stared down my husband, who was cooking sausages in a kosher home’s kitchen. 😂 I sent a couple of messages prior to arriving about skiing and was not informed that there was no snow. The proprietress was friendly although wouldn’t serve breakfast for our large group at 2 different times, so some of us had to miss breakfast one morning. Due to the transport situation, it was appreciated that she kindly called her friend to drive us to the train station that morning after the bus times suddenly seemed to change and a taxi couldn’t be reached. It was all a bit stressful with small kids.

    Les hôtes sont d'une profonde gentillesse.Les petits déjeuners sont excellents.La maison est spacieuse et très propre.La vallée de Kiental est à l'écart des endroits touristiques tout en étant très proche.     Amazing place to stay!

    We loved staying here with our family! The hosts are so gracious and the breakfast each morning was spectacular with wonderful food made with care from Switzerland. The hosts helped us with ideas of things to do and even made us popcorn one night when the boys wanted to watch football. The views are breathtaking and you can hear the river running right by the property. We wish we could have spent more time here!

    Amazing hosts and view

    We loved staying here. The view from the bedrooms was amazing. We had a terrific breakfast prepared for us each morning and our hosts provided us with very helpful information about local sightseeing options. Highly recommend!

    Wonderful stay off the beaten path

    Our group of 9- 4 grandparents and 5 grandchildren- had a fabulous experience at Haus Schonegg! Marianna and family were extraordinarily gracious hosts and we were cared for with such kindness and caring. We were treated each morning to a lavish breakfast including homemade bread and a hot entree,, and were invited to use the yard and beautiful terrace area for playing and picnic dinners. Stunning views of the alps from our balcony. Public transportation is somewhat limited, but the Kiental is off the beaten path, so for us this was not a problem- just a factor to include in the planning. We loved our time here! Definitely a highlight of our time in Switzerland.

    Graduation European Vacation

    We were traveling to Europe for the first time as a family. Our youngest had just graduated high school and this was his gift. I searched VBRO and came across this lovely BnB and noticed it had excellent reviews. We requested a booking and within a day or so received our confirmation. Communication with the Host ( Bradley) was excellent and he was very accommodating to our travel plans. We kept in contact as needed and when I had questions his replies were timely. Once there , they gave us loads of information of other places to see besides what we had already planned and every morning served us a beautiful and yummy breakfast spread. 5 out of 5 stars for this place. Don’t miss the opportunity to stay here.

    Picturesque views

    Pictures can't capture the beauty of Kiental. Waking up in the morning to see the mountains, lush valley, and stream seem like something out of a fantasy novel. Brad and Marianna are gracious hosts and work hard to make sure your stay is as comfortable as possible. From breakfast to evening tea, we felt nothing but warm hospitality from our hosts in this historic Bed and Breakfast. We are looking forward to our next opportunity to visit.

    Wonderful Stay

    This was the perfect place for us to stay after our long day of travel to Europe. The accommodations were fabulous. The rooms were spotless, quiet and comfortable. We were warmly welcomed by Brad upon arrival. He provided excellent suggestions for hiking in the area. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We were treated like friends and felt very lucky to have booked such a great place.

    Great little spot

    We stayed at this B&B for 2 nights, and were very happy with our choice. Our hosts were very nice and gave us some great local info on where to visit with our limited time. The breakfasts provided were delicious with plenty of food for our party of 8. On our second morning we were served their specialty pancakes, which were a big hit with everyone. We would would definitely recommend this B&B if you are looking for something in this area. Tony

    Hosts that became family!

    What an amazing location/host/family!! Stumbled on this diamond in the mountains by accident after being turned down at another location! IT WAS AMAZING! Clean, spacious, gorgeous scenery, serene, tranquil, and a breakfast every morning that was fit for royalty! We arrived as guests, and left with more family! I cried leaving Brad and Marianne the same way I cried leaving my own family in Germany! Look no further than this lovely home with amazing Christian hosts for your trip to Switzerland, I promise you’re life will never be the same!!!

    Chalet in the Swiss countryside

    This property is perfect for a large group. We rented the whole chalet, which had plenty of room on 3 floors for our 15 family members. Besides bedrooms & bathrooms, the place has two large rooms downstairs rooms that we used for gathering after our days exploring Switzerland were over. The chalet is located right beside the country road, not off the road (which the photos make you think). The view from the house is incomparable (gorgeous mountains, pastures with cows (you can hear their bells), flowers, and a little mountain stream. The owners provide a breakfast every morning that has basically everything you can think of for breakfast in it. There is no access to the kitchen for guests - so ask the owner to recommend places for dinner. There are a few cute places to try.
