The Butterfly House, beautiful home near the beach

The Butterfly House has been beautifully decorated and appointed for a tropical island holiday. The main bedroom has a luxurious free standing bath and king size four post bed for a perfect romantic getaway. Fully air conditioned and lovely timber floors throughout plus a new bathroom. Room to relax with a second lounge area on lower level as well as covered outdoor area with BBQ and dining setting.

The home is in a wonderful position only 150 metres from the bus stop in a quiet street across from the Butterfly Forest Walk and a short stroll down to the beachfront. The home is fully fenced so you can bring along your four legged friend as well we have supplied a comfy bed and water bowl.

A relaxing holiday in a great location

The house was just what we needed - relaxed and comfortable, with enough spaces for people to chill if they wanted. The beds were comfortable. Loved the bath in the main bedroom. The kitchen was suitably equipped for simple meals. The location was the best thing! We could walk to the beach, local cafes and short bush walks to secluded beaches. I would stay there again.

Great location, awesome house

We had a week at Butterfly tefly House and it was just lovely. Well appointed and a nice vibe to the place. Close to the beach and butterfly forest. Overall a great place. A second fridge would be handy for drinks as the one provided was a bit small. Thanks for a great stay

You get what you pay for

Although comfortable, the house could do with a thorough clean. Mouse poo in bed side draws, musty cupboards ( I understand we live in the tropics) and a build up of dust on various surfaces. We also found the extremely uneven pavers a hazard for my elderly family members. Otherwise its a great location and secure yard for the dogs.

we enjoyed our time at the butterfly house. very neat & clean. dog friendly was important to us. unfortunately the internet dropped in & out so much we had to stop using it. However we would definetly stay in this gorgeous place again

Christmas Break 2020

Property was great. Loved being able to have our dogs stay with us but my only concerns were fence was no very secure and once the torrential rain started it was impossible to keep the outdoor area and laundry areas clean as the dirt from the yard just kept washing up and in. Some grass would help. White Oven dish is cracked and close to breaking. Smoke alarm was chirping as it needs a new battery so we left it off the wall and on the coffee table so you knew it needed replacing. Enjoyed our stay a nicely maintained property

Pet friendly

We rented the butterfly house for 2 nights with our dogs. It has 2 very nice king beds and a bath in one of the bedrooms. The dogs enjoyed exploring the yard and staying in the laundry area. They barked at Roos. We heard a koala mating at night but did not see any. Well located easy walk to horseshoe bay.

The location and garden attracted the birds etc reinforced the beautiful tropical island feel

The only negative is that there was only one toilet and the second bathroom really was not a bathroom just a bath tub at the end of the large bedroom where as the promotion gave the impression t had two toilets and two full bath rooms

Out first time using an AirBnB and it won't be our last. A great little stay and we will be definitely coming back to the Butterfly House, mainly because my wife wants to steal the bath tub.

Great clean place, good location, nice & private

Property was lovely, suited family of 5, location was perfect (it’s up the north end of the island but since we hired a car this wasn’t a problem, island not that big so easy to pop back to house). Opposite butterflies (which were still out) and the koala park. Stinger net at horse shoe bay. Kids loved finding koalas in the bushwalk just a short stroll from the house

Comfortable cozy cottage in a great location.

We had a wonderful mini break with our dogs. Long walks down the beach, opposite a beautiful butterfly forest and just a short walk to restaurants and shops. So relaxing we stayed an extra night. Would have loved a vacuum cleaner to clean up after ourselves though and a hairdryer would have been nice, but other than that very well equipt. Thanks so much.
