Spectacular views of the Southern Ranges. This romantic retro weekender has amazing cliff face and mountain views. Guests have sole use of the house and the property. Watch the ever changing scenery... sunrise, sunset, clouds roll by, and at night the big skies are great for stargazing.
This is a tiny original, authentic weekender, built in the 1960's. Located at the southern end of the mountain close to the golf course, 10mins drive from the main tourist area on the mountain. Relax on the deck, picnic on the lawn, eat local organic produce, walk mountain trails, see waterfalls, visit wineries, breweries, art galleries, shops, markets, and restaurants!
The house is self sufficient with (filtered) rain water and septic tanks. The house is situated on a 1000m2 battle axe block, with neighbours on 2 sides. The large sloped backyard is private but unfenced. You can view eagles, black cockatoos, kookaburras, listen for whipbirds or the rare Albert's lyrebird, and shy wallabies often feed on the lawn at dusk.
The master bedroom has a comfy queen size bed and the bunk bed in the small 2nd bedroom is very comfy and solid enough to sleep adults if required. (Note upper bunks generally are not suitable for young children due to risk of fall, but they will be safe and cosy in the lower bunk).
There is a single lock up garage if you want to park under cover. There are basic laundry facilities in the garage with trough and twin tub washing machine (has 2 tubs, one is for washing, the other is for spin). There is no internet access to the house, but mobile phone reception (and data) is very good.
Tamborine Mountain is usually cooler than Brisbane or the Gold Coast and the house has very efficient heating and cooling to keep you comfortable.
Linen, bedding and towels are provided.
