Located at the deeper, end of the lake with YEAR ROUND WATER ACCESS within a large no wake zone. Wonderful 'SIT DOWN LAKE VIEWS' * 1 minute walk to the lake, BOAT SLIP * exclusive community marina offering a 'NO COST' boat launch, picnic areas, fire pit, and a great fishing environment. This 1960's mountain home is at the end of cul-de-sac sac and offers a great room floor plan with 2 levels & 2 large shaded decks surrounded by trees. The upper level, accessed via a wheel chair friendly ramp, are two bedrooms, full bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, a TANK-LESS BBQ & BOTTLED DRINKING WATER. The lower level, with 2 bedrooms & 1 bath is a perfect kids retreat or for separating families, with its own deck and exterior access to the lower level with additional parking for boat trailers. The home includes Heating & Cooling, Washer & Dryer, WiFi and internet ready flat screen with Dish satellite & DVD. Downstairs game room offers bumper pool & ping pong tables & additional TV/DVD/Satellite. Bring along your canoe or paddle board & enjoy the quieter marina waters. The avid mountain bikers, hikers & dirt bikers will especially enjoy the 'Central Camp 007' single track directly above the home, as well as other nearby trails. A favorite for all is a ride, walk or run around the dam and along the lake road, sometimes just to Miller’s Landing for an ice cream or lunch. These trails start just a short walk down the road, or there is a parking area at the trailhead. Whatever your inclination, we encourage you to get out and enjoy the surroundings. Don't forget a flashlight.
Although walking to the local village shops sounded fun and convenient, it was also more congested and noisier. The deeper year round waters, the large no wake zone surrounding the marina, and the proximity to the mountain bike trails won us over. And it is only a 4 minute drive or boat ride to the village…
We enjoy a location just across the street from the lake with awesome sit down views, and right below one of the best mountain bike trails around! Wonderful cul-de-sac neighborhood with plenty of parking for our many guests. We also enjoy the trees and space between the other homes. The quiet waters of the marina are a great relaxer and we have plenty of opportunity for whatever type of exercise we are in the mood for.
This was a first for me, renting a house thru the internet. Started out camping at Denver Church when camping was permissible, 1960;s. From there we camped normally at Wishon Camp ground. Later we stayed there using a motor home, 1970-80. From then on we always rented the same LITTLE cabin at the Forks Resort.
After our grand-child arrived the Forks became a little less desirable. I had to rent 2 cabins, then the noise factor with car alarms, barking dogs, excessive loud people and delivery trucks made our stay uncomfortable. This made me look at alternatives.
Knowing the Lake PRETTY well I always visioned a lake front cabin in Willow Cove, however $5000.00 up was out of my price affordability. We always spent a lot of time near the Dam area to get away form people, boat traffic and noise. We are fairly quiet people.
Knowing of Marina View, as well as seeing it built up I was surprised to find rentals available, yours being one of them. After looking at the available sites in Marina View on the computer yours sounded the best for our needs. I have to admit that my wife, son, and daughter-in-law questioned my computer skills in taking care of the rental and after our stay there admitted that they all were concerned what DAD was up too this time AND IF ALL WOULD WORK OUT ok.
All being said we ALL loved your house, it worked out great. Having 2 levels gave my wife and daughter-in-law some privacy, my wife loved your kitchen and the Lake views, my daughter-in-law loved your sun deck and lake views, My son & I very much liked your Marina although it would have been nice to see my boat from your deck, maybe next year with the Lake being back up to the normal level that might be possible. Oh, I forgot to mention your off the highway parking for my truck and boat trailer was PERFECT.
Looks like next year the same approximate time but maybe 2 weeks. Your plants got plenty of water while we were there also.
this was the second half of a week to the entire yosemite/sequioa national park area when we arrived there was no one there and we had to get the keys from a lock box from the other end of the lake. when we entered the house it was close to 85-90 degrees inside and the swamp cooler didn't work,it took a call to the property management and a whole day to get it working when the manager showed up we informed her that the entire patio area especially the grill were not cleaned at all and nobody ever came back to clean it so we did it so we could use the grill. this house is decorated from the seventies and needs a good update.the lower bathroom is shared with the washer and dryer and the shower looks like a dungeon. i would not rent this house again and it was my sister who paided for it. the beds were not made and we didn't even get fitted sheets for them even though they charged her over a hundred dollars for a linen fee. there are much better homes around this lake to rent
I recently got the great opportunity to take a trip to Bass Lake. I have been going to the lake itself since I was a little kid, but got the opportunity to stay at this house, on my last trip. The whole stay was absolutely incredible. Sunshine and warm water was just the perfect remedy for a much needed vacation. Fishing, hiking, biking, swimming, tubing and boating were just a few of the activities we did. The best part was 10 of my friends and I ended up going and there was plenty of room for everyone! The place was fully furnished with great amenities and bathrooms. We went on a short drive across the lake and rented a boat for the Memorial day weekend and it was perfect. The house even had a boat slip which ensured a 2-3 minute walk, from the house was all that was necessary to hopping on the boat and floating around the lake for the day. The local restaurants and grocery stores are all great too. On the last day, we took the time to head into Yosemite (only :45 minutes away, to the valley) and this was a great ending. Many from my group had never seen the majestic mountains and valleys and were blown away by the sheer beauty. So much to do, so little time. I would highly recommend this for a weekend getaway but there is so much to do, I feel a whole week would have been ideal. Great place, I can't wait to go back!
I usually stay here in the Spring and Summer and always have a great time, but I thought I would see what it's like in the Winter, for a change. It was well beyond what I expected, we had 4 to 6 inches of snow at the house and were able to snowshoe close by, cross country ski at Badger Pass, and even do some mountain biking in the snow. One of the best trips I've had in a while!
The house is very comfortable and accommodating, I love the close proximity to the lake and hiking and biking trails!! There's so many fun things to do, I can't wait to get back up there!
I really like the custom gate at the entrance to the deck, very cool!
Lots of room. Good for one family or more than a few families together. Hiking & lake fun right from the front or back doors. Quaint town near by for shopping & atmosphere. Enjoyed a short drive to Yosemite. Boating on the lake with a private slip for our boat. Used this house in winter also for a beautiful snow vacation. Easy hiking still & beautiful view. Large family room with windows over looking the lake for fun family game time or relaxing.
Besides the many activities within walking distance of this Marina View home, you may want to venture out and enjoy the areas in and around Bass Lake as well, all within a 90 minute drive. Don’t miss Yosemite and the Sequoia Forest. Take a tour or plan a day visit to Yosemite Valley where you can stroll through the grandeur & ride the tram or hike all day to several waterfalls. Visit the local wineries Explore biking trails. go river rafting, Zip-lining, or play a round of golf at a number of nearby courses. Try Horseback riding or riding the logger. Visit the bowling lanes, movie theatre, gift shops, super markets, casino, local museums, eateries, fine dining, art gallery’s and year round local events. And of course, if you just want to ‘hang on the lake’ there are two watercraft rental choices, Miller’s Landing & Bass Lake Water Sports. And remember... Lower rates and fewer crowds make off season in Bass Lake & the Sierra’s something to consider. Spring and fall are perfect times to enjoy the changing colors, visit the wineries, go dirt biking, ice skating, sleigh rides, and see Yosemite in the winter……
