Quaint, 900 sq ft 2 story home with a loft. It sits right next to Fountain Creek; the sleepy year round stream that is fed by the snow melt from Pikes Peak. The new kitchen and downstairs bath were just completed. Open the windows and you'll hear the sound of the stream. On the deck is a grill and large table that seats 8-10. Across our bridge is a beautiful shaded lawn picnic area.
This home sleeps 7, including the couch. I queen in the bedroom, a double bed in the loft and bunk beds in the loft. There is a full bath with tub/shower upstairs and a new full bath with shower on the main level.
The new kitchen with serving bar will be a gathering place for sure.
It is a nice cabin. It was very, very clean and close to lots of local attractions. The only drawback was the mattress on the full sized bed was lumpy. We would recommend it!
Location was great. The creek in the backyard was wonderful. Kitchen was updated and very nice. The house was great. Damage deposit took too long to be returned to me (it took 9 to 10 days). That is my only complaint.
My family of four ( children ages 12 & 9) had a wonderful stay at this home. Plenty of room for all. The kitchen has all you need except the food. The location is amazing, so close to everything! My kids had so much fun playing in the stream behind the house.
My husband, I and our 2 teenage children thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the house. It had everything we needed plus! The sound of the stream at night lulled us to sleep. The back patio was great for evening meals and early morning coffee. The location was awesome. We made many day trips as well as enjoyed sight seeing opportunities close by. We would definitely stay there again. Thanks Scott!
This cabin was a perfect place for our family of five. The place seems bigger than we expected based on sq ft. Everything was clean and we felt very comfortable. There were plenty of linens and extra supplies available. The cabin has been recently painted, so the exterior looks better than the pictures online. The guest guide was really helpful so we knew where to go around town for groceries, etc. Great deck for having meals by the creek. Kids loved the stream. We had no problems keeping things cool in mid July at this altitude. Even though the days were in the 80's the cabin stayed cool. Lots of Windows to keep a nice breeze going. Brand new kitchen was nice and clean. We would highly recommend this place to stay.
All the comfort and amenities of home. Very clean! Well maintained. Relatively private but definitely not isolated. Convenient to any type of everyday or touristy shopping. We honeymooned there but would be great for families as well. The only negative, there is no laundry washer or dryer which Is inconvenient. All sleeping areas are only accessible by a spiral stairway making it limited for physically challenged. The back deck area alone makes it worth the stay! We definitely would recommend this place! The owner was accessible and friendly. Truly a great place!
10 minutes down Ute Pass on Highway 24 is the village of Manitou Springs. There's lots of shopping and restaurants in this historic town at the foot of Pike Peak. This is where you board the train to the summit of Pike Peak.
5 minutes up the pass is the 'City above the Clouds', Woodland Park. Everything you may need during your stay can be found here; two large Groceries, Walmart, numerous unique restaurants, and fast food, etc.
