Quaint, 900 sq ft 2 story home with a loft. It sits right next to Fountain Creek; the sleepy year round stream that is fed by the snow melt from Pikes Peak. The new well-equipped kitchen and downstairs bath were just completed. Open the windows and you'll hear the sound of the stream. On the deck is a grill and large table that seats 8-10. Across our bridge is a beautiful shaded lawn picnic area.
This home sleeps 8, including the sleeper sofa. Queen in the bedroom, double bed in the loft and bunk beds in the loft. There is a full bath with tub/shower upstairs and a new full bath with shower on the main level.
The new kitchen with serving bar will be a gathering place for sure.

Why Scott Stearman chose Cascade
The patriarch of our family purchased this property in 1957. His greatest joy was watching others enjoy the Colorado mountains he loved so much.
What makes this House unique
It's very unusual to find a beautiful cabin so close to conveniences yet affording a quiet restful retreat next to a clear mountain stream. All of the Colorado mountains can be explored in day trips from this central location.

Great place to stay. Will plan to stay again when we are in Colorado!
We enjoyed our stay. Cabin was equipped with everything we needed. Enjoyed watching the deer walk by the stream in the back each morning. Close to so many great hiking areas!
Peaceful, Cozy, Great Location
This is a really nice cabin, clean and well-appointed. The deck out back and balcony on the second floor provided great areas to relax. We couldn't get a cell phone signal at the cabin, but landline long distance is free and wireless is available. I didn't want to try lugging a heavy suitcase up the spiral staircase to the 2nd-floor loft/bedroom, so we just unpacked downstairs and hand-carried things up - no problem.
At first we were looking to stay in Manitou Springs - glad we didn't. While it's a nice town to visit it was pretty crowded with tourists - even in late September, and we wanted something a little more isolated. Scott's cabin is in a rural, quiet area but with neighbors nearby (didn't want to be out in the middle of nowhere!) and only a few miles to shopping, restaurants, etc. The location was great for day trips to Garden of the Gods, Cave of the Winds, Cripple Creek, and Royal Gorge. We'd definitely stay here again!
Beautiful and tranquil
Great place to stay just a little off the beaten path. The sound of the creek right in the back yard is so soothing! Cabin was clean and well appointed. Both the bedroom and loft are on the second floor which I did not expect but worked out fine. Scott is a gracious host and keeps the cabin in great order. The only negative was the bed in the loft tends to roll to the middle. Scott assured me that the mattresses in both areas would be replaced this winter. Very close to everything we wanted to see and do. Loved it and would recommend it
The sound of the stream rolling by was very relaxing.
Beautiful home in a beautiful area.
Cabin was nicely decorated. It was very relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. Loved sitting outside and listening to the stream. Just bring your own food and the rest is there. Located near a lot of attractions. Walmart just a few minutes up Hwy 24 for any forgotten needs. We would stay here again.
10 minutes down Ute Pass on Highway 24 is the village of Manitou Springs. There's lots of shopping and restaurants in this historic town at the foot of Pike Peak. This is where you board the train to the summit of Pike Peak. 5 minutes up the pass is the 'City above the Clouds', Woodland Park. Everything you may need during your stay can be found here; two large Groceries, Walmart, numerous unique restaurants, and fast food, etc.
