Centrally located but much work needs to be done for a 5 star rating.

  • 3 of 5

Gave this a three star for the following reason:

We didn't have the correct door code given in the welcome email. Called the owner, no answer. Housekeeper gave us the code. Didn't have the WIFI code when we arrived, had to call for that.

Other issues: the interior finishing were done Rather cheaply. Bathroom towel racks installed crooked. No bathroom toiletries in the tub bathroom. Refrigerator leaked on our foods inside the refrigerator. Doors in the house did not shut property thus not providing privacy for the guests. No instructions for using the three remotes in the house for the living room television. Inside light fixture in bedroom was gone, bulb only. Shelf in kitchen was too high and I couldn't teach without crawling on the cabinets (I am 5'4"). Bar stools in the kitchen were short while having a tall counter. Front yard rock garden was very weedy and Unattractive.

However, positives were: beds were comfortable, airconditioning worked well, and property centrally located.

Property has some potential to be 5 stars, but much attention to detail needs to be done.

Owner's Response: Hi Audrey, I'm sorry to see that your stay wasn't a 5 star experience. At the bottom of our welcome letter email (the one that you received weeks in advance with the door code, wifi password, parking instructions, etc) always states "If your stay is going to be anything less than a 5 star review, please let me know immediately!" Had I known right away (for your five night stay) that it was going to be unpleasant I could have addressed these issues right away. As far as the door code goes, most guest like to make sure they have this days in advance to checking in verses standing at the front door. (I apologize I missed your call I was in class but glad that my housekeeper was able to help) I regret the cheap furnishings were not to your liking, we pride ourselves on over 250 five star reviews and understand it's hard to please everybody. The TV remote instructions we're on the stand underneath the TV. Had I known you were having trouble finding them I could have shown you where they were. As far as the barstool... Again, if you would have let me know I could have come over and shown you where the leaver is on the side to adjust the height. We provide soap, shampoo & conditioner to all of our guest as a courtesy but we leave it up to our guest to bring bubble bath. Thanks for letting me know about the fridge and light fixture, both of those have been fixed. The lawn keeper arrived the day you checked out to do his bi-weekly routine weed pulling. All the best, Andy

Very nice!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed this place. It has that Texas rustic feel with a touch of modern. Everything was kept up nicely. I would definitely stay here again. Also, to note, it is very close to eateries and attractions.

Very accommodating!

  • 5 of 5

The house was great, very cozy and well decorated with plenty of space! Walking distance to a lot of things to do. My friends and I are very active and made the 1.5 mile walk to the zoo and back. Andy was also fantastic. We road tripped from California and had been driving literally all night and he let us check in early so we could get some sleep before heading out to explore. We will definitely stay here again if we are back in the Fort Worth area!

We loved the modern take on Texas Style interior. The location was great we could walk to dinner. Had some great food just around the corner.

A wonderful stay for us. We would come again anytime.
