Start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks, and take out the trash
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Leave beds that have been slept in unmade. Place dirty towels in a laundry basket and leave on washer.
Turn off heat. Make sure all windows are closed and locked.
Replace beach toys, chairs, barbecue to garage. Close garage door.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Quiet hours 10pm to 8 am . NO FIREWORKS allowed in Santa Cruz County Guests should take own food/beverage with them when they check out
Maximum parking 4 cars in driveway/front of house. No commercial vehicles, RV, boats, campers. Leave one parking space for owner. No garage parking.
Guests report all damage to avoid being held responsible. Garbage and recycling bins must be placed at curb Thursday night, Overflow not permitted.

The house was perfectly situated on Seacliff Drive near to a family member's residence which made our post-Christmas family time together very peaceful and nice. The house is maintained at a very high standard and had beautiful views of the ocean.

This home is clearly cared for with a lot of love and attention. Everything was well maintained, comfortable, and inviting. The kitchen was exceptionally well stocked—truly the best we’ve ever experienced in a rental—which made cooking and gathering so easy. The location was excellent, and the family room furniture and kitchen table comfortably accommodated our entire group. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to others.

We could not have asked for a better place to stay! The welcoming atmosphere of the home and the beauty out the living room was a welcome sight!!! Maureen was a delight and so helpful. The place was immaculate, well stocked kitchen, very comfortable beds, a wonderful sight from the balcony, beach "gear" to use, an outdoor shower, making it possible to not carry sand into the house, etc. We definitely would stay here again and would recommend to anyone!!

We’re a local family (for the most part), but we wanted a special place to spend quality time together, and this place was absolutely perfect for that.The view is awe-inspiring! You can't beat the unobstructed views of the sunsets and sunrises, which can be easily enjoyed from either inside or outside. You can sit in the living room, go upstairs to the wide balcony, or skip across to the beach. Couple that with the sound of the ocean, and it instantly creates a mesmerizing, calm, restorative vibe. The location couldn’t be better! It's walking distance to Seacliff State Park and Rio Del Mar Beach, plus an easy stroll to a few nearby businesses that really complete that charming small-town feel. We loved being able to just park and enjoy ourselves. The home was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up. The host was wonderful, responsive, clear, and made everything seamless from start to finish. We’d happily stay here again and again...and again. I HIGHLY recommend it for anyone wanting a peaceful coastal escape (even if you live nearby).

Wonderful location right across the street from Seacliff State Park as advertised; however, you have to walk about a block then take a lot of steep steps to get down to the beach, which is not great for small children or elderly adults. The drive-in entrance to the beach is maybe a quarter mile away.

The house was just as listed, worked perfectly for our group of 5. One thing to note, there can be a lot of traffic (foot and cars) across the street since the home overlooks the ocean. Not a deterrent, but something to be aware of. Beach access was easy either via a long staircase or easy drive.

Let me tell you this VRBO is superb in every way. Ideally situated directly across the street from a fabulous child & dog friendly beach. The kids had so much fun swimming in the ocean with the boogie boards provided by the owner. The house is stocked with every essential you could imagine & then some. We definitely would rent this house again for a future Santa Cruz County vacation.

This place has it all!

We loved everything about this ! It was located on the street above the beach so when you relaxed on the top balcony, you had an incredible view of the ocean. The entire house was stocked to perfection. It had every utensil, serving tray, appliance you could possibly need. Lotion and shampoo galore in the bathroom. There was literally nothing missing. We were here for our daughter‘s graduation from Santa Cruz and this was the perfect place to get away from the crowd and just enjoy the family!

This family home was purchased in 1960 and has been loved by our large extended family since then. Many celebrations have taken place in this home and it has always been a place of laughter, relaxation, and time spent with people important to each other. We are delighted to share our home with you and those people special to you. Enjoy the sound of the surf, sunsets over the Cement Ship, with a view of dolphins, whales, pelicans and otters.

Why they chose this property

Because our extended family enjoyed the beach so much, our grandparents purchased the house. Our uncle built a house on the street behind the house and a cousin lived in another house on that street so we always had lots of people together. With the peaceful sound of the ocean and the gorgeous view from the deck, living room, upstairs bedrooms we have always appreciated this special place. Regardless of the weather, this home will leave you relaxed and rejuvenated. The beach and area provide the opportunity to take in the outdoors and enjoy the ocean.

What makes this property unique

The central location allows you to head to Monterey or Carmel, to Nicene Marks, to Santa Cruz or to the Cement Ship. Hiking, biking, kayaking, paddle boarding, bodysurfing, walking, sightseeing, and wine tasting are just some of the many activities we enjoy in the area. Unobstructed view of Monterey Bay from Monterey to Santa Cruz. Easy to walk to various eateries, walk to the beach, easy on and off the freeway.
