About this property
Villa Le Rondini, panoramic sunsets in the village
A timeless meeting of Tuscan heritage and refined luxury, perched between Florence and Siena, Villa Le Rondini is the only villa of its kind in Chianti within walking distance of a medieval village. Only three minutes from the centre of Radda in Chianti, guests can wander out for a morning coffee, gelato or pizza, visit local trattorias and wineries, and return easily to the tranquillity of the hills without the need for transport. Once an ancient watchtower in the rivalry between Florence and Siena, the villa underwent a five-year restoration by master craftsmen, preserving its stone façades, hand-crafted details and warm cotto floors, while integrating discreet modern comforts such as underfloor climate control and a full smart-home system.
The gardens flow across terraced levels, each opening to a different view of the Chianti hills. Morning light moves softly across olive trees and lavender, while evenings bring golden tones that deepen over the vineyards.
Shaded verandas, soft lawns and quiet corners create spaces for unhurried living, whether al fresco dining moments, or slow afternoon with a book or aperitivi as the landscape turns amber. The panoramic pool rests in one of the estate’s finest positions, offering wide, uninterrupted views that shift throughout the day and glow beautifully at sunset. The expansive lawn also provides an elegant setting for intimate celebrations, parties or private events.
Inside, the villa’s warm interiors are shaped by artisan furnishings, curated artwork and unique pastel palettes that each express their own character. The Ivory Suite faces the sunset with views across the valley and direct garden access. The Green Suite features a grand bathroom with a clawfoot tub and double sinks. The Pink Bedroom opens to a Juliet balcony overlooking the garden and pool, while the Blue and Yellow bedrooms offer serene palettes and garden or watchtower views. Every room includes bathrobes, slippers and thoughtful touches that enhance a sense of ease and quiet comfort.
The villa offers two kitchens for different rhythms of the day: an everyday island kitchen for relaxed mornings, and the Grand Carrara Marble Kitchen, the culinary heart of the home designed for family warmings together and cooking sessions. An indoor dining room and two lounges complete the living spaces, each space bringing you back in time to an ancient Tuscan period with its medieval stone architecture.
Beneath the old arches, the cantina provides a magical setting for wine tastings, intimate dinners or evenings where the natural acoustics of the curved stone ceilings create magical live musical moments.
Radda in Chianti offers a vibrant cultural life throughout the year, from wine-tasting weekends and food festivals to summer concerts, theatre evenings and celebrations in the medieval piazza. Both the legendary 1000 Miglia and the Chianti Ultra Trail pass directly in front of the villa, giving guests rare front-row views of these iconic events.
At Villa Le Rondini, days unfold slowly, through light, landscape and shared meals, offering an authentic and deeply restful experience in the heart of Chianti. Personal attention ensures your stay is personal and special.

About the host
Hosted by Brandon Yeoh Cheng
I’ve always been drawn to the art of meaningful connection — the kind that happens around a table, through stories, and through care in the smallest details. Inspired by the idea of “unreasonable hospitality,” I believe genuine warmth comes from thoughtfulness — from noticing the little things that make someone feel truly seen. Hosting in Tuscany allows me to express that philosophy fully, creating moments that feel both effortless and deeply personal.
Why they chose this property
Radda in Chianti is one of those rare places where time seems to slow down just enough for you to truly see. Set among rolling hills and heritage vineyards, it offers an unmatched combination of history, authenticity, and quiet sophistication. Each evening, the valley transforms under golden light, with sunsets that spill across olive groves and ancient stone walls — a view that never fails to feel magical, no matter how many times you’ve seen it.
What I love most about this area is its balance — refined yet unpretentious, deeply rooted yet endlessly inspiring. It’s a place for those who appreciate heritage, comfort, and the beauty of life lived slowly.

What makes this property unique
The property is the only 17th-century villa located just a short three-minute walk from the centre of a village in Chianti, and that village is Radda in Chianti, the capital of the Chianti Classico wine region. The house is equipped with state-of-the-art smart-home lighting and underfloor heating and cooling, eliminating the need for traditional air conditioning or radiators.
Being right by the village centre, there are numerous public parking areas nearby, and the villa itself offers two large on-site parking spaces, ideal for weddings and private events. Its unique location allows you to stroll into Radda for an evening drink and return to the villa feeling as though paradise lies just within reach.
