About the host
Hosted by Gitta Jass
“I was born and raised in the United States, then spent 7 years in Denmark and over 35 years in Germany before returning home. I’ve traveled widely throughout the U.S. and Europe, so I understand what guests look for when they’re on vacation—comfort, ease, and a place that feels like home. I’m also an animal lover at heart and try to bring the same care and warmth I give to my pets into the way I host my guests.”
Why they chose this property
“I chose Savannah as my hometown because it’s a small city with an incredible amount of history and charm. I love the old oak trees draped in Spanish moss, the intimate downtown squares, and the way the city stretches out toward the marshes, rivers, and nearby ocean. The weather here is a big bonus too—much kinder than Hamburg for most of the year—which makes it a wonderful place to relax, explore, and enjoy nature.”
What makes this property unique
“The homes I manage range from classic Victorian‑style houses downtown to peaceful properties on the Isle of Hope, so guests can choose between historic charm and pure, quiet nature. Each property is set up with a traveler’s eye, shaped by my years of living and vacationing across different countries, to offer thoughtful details, good beds, and a relaxing atmosphere. Whether you’re here to wander historic streets or unwind by the water, my goal is to give you a place that feels special, memorable, and easy to enjoy.”
