About the property

5 bedroom home located in Denver’s oldest and most desirable neighborhood

Gorgeous, historic, and completely renovated home in one of Denver’s oldest and most desirable neighborhoods, Washington Park--a small, walkable, and bike friendly neighborhood named for the huge urban park it surrounds--165 acres of gardens, ponds, trails, and lawns.

Washington Park, or as the locals call it, 'Wash Park,' was named one of the “Great Public Spaces in America” in 2012 and was also voted one of the top ten reasons to return to Denver, by 10best.

Downtown Denver is 6 miles away and is accessible by bike via the Cherry Creek bike path or by car via Speer Boulevard in 15 minutes.

Walk to Old South Gaylord shopping district only two blocks away, for shopping, restaurants, coffee, and breakfast.

Walk to Fooducopia Corner Store only four blocks away for groceries or wonderful prepared chef-prepared daily take-home menu.

Fully furnished with everything you might need to enjoy your visit to the Denver area--this sunny three-story home is perfect for groups of 8-12 guests.

Only $350-450 per night for eight guests, plus $45/night for each additional guest.

Enjoy a peaceful park-like setting from the moment you arrive at the house--walk up to the front gate past huge shade trees to the lovely front porch--sink into the vintage porch chairs, and relax with a quiet cup of coffee.

The huge turn-of-the-century half-glass oak front door welcomes you into a home furnished with original art and fun midcentury decor. A classic front hall opens to the front parlor which is perfect for reading a book in front of the antique mantle and vintage inspired gas fireplace. Adjacent to the parlor, there is formal dining room with great lighting which seats 8-10 guests at the vintage table.

The formal dining room opens into a spacious, sunlit great room--watch a movie or catch up with family in cozy seating around a second gas fireplace or enjoy a chat with the cook in the eat-in kitchen dining area that seats 10-12.

Simply amazing chef’s kitchen features granite countertops and high-end stainless appliances, including double french door refrigerator, convection oven, gas cook top, wine steward, and full-sized dishwasher, and maple cabinets.

Nearby is a walk-in butler’s pantry which features full-sized washer and dryer as well as selection of grocery staples. Spacious guest powder room is adjacent. Completely stocked kitchen has every cooking necessity, plus dinner service for sixteen guests.

From the kitchen/great room open the three sets of solidly-built, double french doors to enjoy California-style outdoor living. Enjoy the spacious and lovely deck with cool, retro patio table and seating for 6-8 guests, new Weber grill, and the landscaped backyard.

Dine surrounded by trees and plantings that create a private oasis perfect for entertaining. The deck opens up into a small but lovely yard with sand-box play area. Beyond the garden gate, there are two large private off-street parking spaces. High speed wifi network and local landline phone included.

Wonderful and quiet, this home features an elegant and spacious second-story master suite with luxurious king bed with linen sheets, private balcony with seating to enjoy a cup of tea, writing desk, walk-in closet, and en suite master bath with soaking tub, double sinks, and rain shower.

Nearby, two second-story bedrooms, one with queen bed, and the other with two twin beds, share a full bathroom. Just at the top of the stairs you will find a comfortable sitting area with board games and cable television.

Downstairs, on the lowest level, a quiet and lovely queen bedroom with pull-out trundle and an open den area with a pull-out king daybed share another full bath, as well as a desk area with guest computer with high speed internet. All bedrooms are fully stocked with plush towels and new bedding.

A Home Away from Home

  • 5 of 5

The beautiful location, well-furnished home, and quick responses provided by Elizabeth were a gift to our extended family. The young and old alike had a wonderful time at our home away from home! Thank you.

Great family house and location

  • 5 of 5

This house worked wonderfully for our family group. It is a well tended house in a lovely quiet neighborhood with nice bedrooms, baths and kitchen. It has good gathering areas as well as quiet spaces which worked well for our infant grandson The owner clearly cares for the property! I would recommend it highly.

Perfect location, Wonderful House

  • 5 of 5

Thank you to Elizabeth for sharing her wonderful home with our family. We were in Denver for my son's graduation from Denver University. The location was perfect! So close to DU and in one of the best neighborhoods in Denver. We were able to walk to restaurants and to the fabulous Washington Park. Elizabeth has all the details covered and you feel like you are staying with family. Incredible amount of space and enjoyed spending time inside as well as outside. Amazing!

Great location and neighborhood. Updated and comfortable home with large porches!

  • 5 of 5

Elizabeth was a joy to work with. We settled right in and enjoyed the kitchen/dining/living area as well as the back porch. The Master Suite upstairs is so charming. Had everything we needed. Plenty of room for 8. Hoping for a return trip soon!

The BEST ever!!

  • 5 of 5

We loved this house. It was beautiful, warm, & welcoming for our family. Everything we needed from lovely dishes to comfortable & unique furniture was there. At one point I was looking for a specific cooking utensil & made an announcement that they actually didn't have something. Within a minute I located it & had to take back my announcement. We loved the books, porches, sandbox, decorative touches & spice drawer. On Sunday my son-in-law went out for coffee & the Sunday New York Times. The paper was not available at the drug store but it had been delivered on our front porch. Thank you Elizabeth for that & your flexibility & your terrific home. We will Definately return!!!!

Beautiful, historic home in perfect location!

  • 5 of 5

Everything about our stay at this home was perfect! The home is very large, beautiful and well appointed. The open floor plan is great for large groups, as there are several lovely indoor and outdoor spaces to sit and relax. I would say this was by far the most cozy and comfortable stay we have had with Homeaway. The location in Washington Park is unbeatable. The home is literally two blocks from a strip of quaint shops, galleries and some wonderful restaurants, as well as an easy Uber ride to Downtown/LoDo. Elizabeth could not have been more responsive and accommodating. The check-in and communications process was quite easy and we much appreciated that she graciously allowed our request for an early check-in and late check-out. Overall, I highly recommend this home and look forward to future stays!
