About the property

1 Bedroom, 1 Bath Sleeps 4 (2 Adults, 2 Children)

Spend a week or a few days in our spacious cabin on the Big Thompson River in beautiful Estes Park, Colorado. Imagine falling asleep to the sounds of the river or listening to the wind blow through the towering pines! Chances are you may be treated to seeing elk and deer right outside of the cabin. Enjoy a campfire in the fire pit as you sit and listen to the sounds of the river just steps away. Fish right behind the cabin and grill up your fresh catch on the barbeque grill!

Take a 10 to 15 minute walk into quaint Estes Park from the property where shopping and great restaurants abound or drive the short distance to Rocky Mountain National Park, where the scenery is spectacular, the wildlife abundant and the hiking trails extensive.

While the cabin lists as a '1 Bedroom/1 Bath' there is plenty of space with a separate kitchen, dining room, sitting room, living room, a luxury bathroom, and the separate bedroom, as well as a front and rear deck.

We offer the perfect get-away for everyone... from those seeking a solitude break to the family looking for the 'best vacation ever!' Come and enjoy the rustic atmosphere of a cabin on the river with the comforts of a well equipped home.

Great vacation home

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed the River Bend Retreat. It was in perfect condition when we arrived. The sound and the view of the stream just off the back deck made for a relaxing time after our hikes. The owner was helpful in many ways. She gave us a list of nice hikes in the area. She had ice and cold water ready for us in the refrigerator. I thought to myself that it would be nice to have a small ice chest to bring with us on some hikes. I found one in the kitchen. This vacation home had anything we wanted or needed. It was very neat and clean. I will stay here again next time we are in Estes Park. I like the location of being on a back street too. We were able to get to and from the home without sitting in traffic. I highly recommend this vacation home.

Just perfect for our family of 4 summer vacation!

  • 4 of 5

The cabin was the perfect size and was stocked with everything we needed! We sat outside every morning with our coffee and every afternoon with our drinks after long days of hiking. The fresh flowers were a very nice touch!

Clean updated cabin, great location and great sleep!

  • 5 of 5

Location, location, location! There is very limited parking in downtown Estes and the cabin was a perfect walk to shops and restaurants. On our last night we saw several elk around the cabin as we headed out for our walk to town. The cabin was clean and updated with both heat and AC, although we only used the heat two mornings to take the chill off. When the Windows are open the relaxing sound of the river radiates throughout the house. Also a possible fishing spot, but not ideal. Bring slippers, the beautiful updated tile floor gets cold with the cooler overnight Colorado temperatures. The kitchen had everything a person could possibly need. The bathroom have a jetted tub which we all enjoy! The queen bed in the bedroom was extremely comfortable and the bedroom was dark. Expect great sleep at the Riverbend cabin! We would definitely stay here again. Thanks Callie and Bryan for sharing your piece of heaven with us!

Romantic cozy cabin with all the amenities!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I could not have been more thrilled with this cabin. Nestled in the Lodgepole Pines and Aspens, it truly is just feet away from the Big Thompson River. I spent every morning sitting on the back porch, drinking coffee and reading while listening to the river. At night, we left the bedroom window open to sleep to the sound of the river as well. During the day, you can hear the traffic of the road across the river, but it is not bothersome (mostly because we were out hiking in the park). We were visited daily by the local wildlife, including elk, deer and many hummingbirds. The kitchen is very modern with good appliances and is well stocked with many of the staples for cooking your own meals (spices, oils, pots, pans, utensils, etc.). The bathroom is very comfortable and has plenty of hot water for the shower or bathtub. The cabin is just a short 10-minute walk to the main part of downtown. The large grocery store in town is just over 1 mile away, with much of the walk following the river. We quickly found out that parking in Estes Park is in short supply, and being close enough to walk is a big advantage. The cabin is also a very short 2.5 miles to the Beaver Meadows entrance of RMNP. You can be at the Bear Lake trailhead in 30 minutes, or the Alpine Visitor Center in less than an hour (if you leave early in the morning). We will definitely be back to Estes Park, and hopefully be able to stay here again.

Absolutely Wonderful "Home Away From Home" !!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I spent another week at the River Bend Retreat this year and loved it even more than last year!!! It is wonderfully cozy, has fantastic, new amenities, is private, and is so beautiful and peaceful! The back deck was also a wonderful retreat, right on the Thompson River! We saw 3 elk right out back our first night there and saw many bunnies, dear, and hummingbirds during our stay. This beautiful retreat home is within minutes of the town of Estes and also Rocky Mountain National Park! We had so many wonderful days hiking, fishing, shopping, dining, and exploring -- all with breathtaking views!! I would recommend this get-away to anyone and look forward to going there again!!
